I blame Lady Rosamund for the whole thing (convincing Mary not to marry M). Granny was on the money when she told her off in the last episiode of series 1 "why did you have to (speak your mind)? Nobody else does."

One thing no one's ever gone over is that ridiculous scene where o'brien sends ethel up to thank Cora for 'her service' - all made up, of course. came from out of nowhere, no consequences for o'brien, then all forgotten. Can't believe carson didn't get madder. All bizarro.

I thought slutmaid was the one that was carrying, but didn't really, on with lord thingie, she is a war wiidow and her boy is about 11/12

where as the other with the baby, ethel?, isn't a widow, and had the baby with meanie pants and is't the one refered to a slutmaid on here i thuoght, buts she really should pass herslef off as a widow shouldn't she (and i hope she does)

slutmaid 1 is ethel, who had the baby by slimy Major Bryant after shenanigans while he was recouperating at DA.

slutmaid 2 is the one who is carrying on with lord fatty bum bum. She is a genuine war widow.

As for sharing a bedroom, Lord fatty bum bum does have his own room - that dark brown room he gets dressed in. On paper an aristo gent sleeps in his dressing room and visits the marital bed for shenanigans. But lord fatty bum bum and cora are in lurrrve so they sleep in the same bed every night.
