Soooooooooooooo I still reckon Cora to kick the bucket, shuffle of this mortal coil, sing with the choir eternal etc etc

I bet Jane is handy with a shorehorn for Lord 6, he's been out of action for a while so may need some help.

Am I the only one to find VampireMatthew even more attractive than the normal version?

FrightNight · 07/11/2011 00:10

Bossy! I'm with you.

Antordec and a whole bunch of people we've never heard of much less give a shiny shit about celebrities in the jungle. I just need to get the tranqs for my galloping arachnophobia and its all systems go!

sozzledchops · 07/11/2011 00:14

They all are very pale, must be on their contracts not to get a tan. Wonder as soon as they stopped filming they all headed off ton the sun with some baby lotion or factor two sun oil.

Ah well, it all picked up in the last two episodes and Garrick's Law starts next week so all is not lost.

readinginamazement · 07/11/2011 00:28

Back in those days it was only the lower class that had tans from working outside my dear. You could tell a Lady by her porcelain skin and her hands don't you know.

There is a good article in the Telegraph (I think) a few days ago that talks about Posh Birds being pale e.g. Nigella L

sozzledchops · 07/11/2011 00:32

Yes I do know, TA. just commenting on the fact they ensured they got that fact right.

What's with the breadspread? I've missed something!

Clawdy · 07/11/2011 08:35

Hate Mattthew ever since seeing him being sneering and obnoxious on The Review Show a couple of weeks ago. Public school spitefulness at its worst!Angry

ScatterChasse · 07/11/2011 09:08

ali in the teaser trailer it showed a handdropping onto a peach quilt as if it were dead, but it's actually the bit when Cora drops her hand fir Lord 6 to hold. Good red herring!

ThePsychicSatsuma · 07/11/2011 09:31

JugglingWithGoldandMyrhh · 07/11/2011 09:46

Loved watching the catch up episode in the afternoon and then last night's end of series. Do I gather there's to be a Christmas special and then the next series in the new year ?

Agree they could have done more/ been more authentic with Matthew and Mary at the graveside. Wasn't very subtle was it ? I think Matthew would have been a bit more halting in telling Mary what Lavinia had heard and seen, and then what she said when she was dying. Matthew just came straight out with it all. - I can see they want to keep our attention but I feel it would be better if some scenes were played out a bit more gently and thoughtfully - instead of just racing and jumping to the next scene - and always picking up on a different thread of the story.

I liked the story about baby Charlie. Was nice she decided to keep him herself. Wonder if that story could develop at all with the granny meeting up with them secretly. Not quite sure how they're connected with Downton though - I've only watched a few episodes from this series, and none from earlier ones ... so lots to catch up on one day I guess ... perhaps there'll be a repeat of the whole thing one day !

ThePsychicSatsuma · 07/11/2011 09:46

MATTHEW NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! you can't blame it on a kiss!!!! NOOOOOOO

ThePsychicSatsuma · 07/11/2011 09:48

ThePsychicSatsuma · 07/11/2011 09:48

life is too short for quarrels fo' shizz.

ThePsychicSatsuma · 07/11/2011 09:49

leg irons for Bates oooooooh

midnightexpress · 07/11/2011 09:50

God, that was rubbish. Most glaringly obvious plot. 'How's Lavinia?' 'Oh she's fine' 'Is Lavinia OK?' 'Oh yes, she's fine'. 'Oh NO! Cora's going to die! And what about Lavinia?' 'Oh, she's fine'. And Matthew's acting was absolutely appalling. Really dreadful.

I do love how they can't get shot of Thomas though. Like a turd that won't flush.

ThePsychicSatsuma · 07/11/2011 09:51

thomas lookes 'zackly like a penguin
