What did the dragon say to Merlin and Lancelot when they made it clear they would do anything to save Arthur? At the time we took the words to be directed to Merlin, but now I'm wondering if they were directed at Lancelot, because the dragon knew what Lancelot would do?

This has been bothering me for ages... is it re-broadcast on Friday, maybe?

The dragon said 'Hey, Lancelot, you're waaaaay too hot to get bumped off permanently so early on in this series! Hell, there are thousands of mums out there who only allow their kids to watch because you provide the thinking woman's eye candy- I mean, yes, Arthur's okay, but, let's face it- he's a bit DIM isn't he? Any perhaps erring on the not-yet-legal side.... And Merlin- well, hey, he's in the TITLE, isn't he? So we have to run with him..'

But eventually Uther HAS to die, doesn't he? To fulfill Arthur (and Merlin's) destiny. I was expecting someone to rush in and rip of the amulet, I have to say, however.

Next weeks' looks far more 'on the level', chasing dragon eggs etc!

It was rather sad as there will be now no weekly Tony Head fix for me :( dang it. But I thought the end bit was very moving with Arthur grieving (and yet being manly at the same time). Poor Merlin, he really does have bugger all luck though. Still very excited about things to come :)

Ooh, we are going to Puzzlewood next weekend - wonder if they're still filming? DS1 would be sooo excited. Of course I would reamin calm and dignified.....

They are killing off minor characters at a rate of noughts, though, who next? And what new characters will they bring in (good or bad guys)? I like the rest of the Round Table knights, will get very sniffy if Gawain goes any more of them go.

Lancelot appeared to die. Now either he has died, never to be seen again but I thought it had to be a blood sacifice but there was no blood. He just walked through. Where the er..blonde one died she was actually killed.
So maybe he'll come back.

He can't have died unless they are going to invalidate the entire later legends.

But I've no idea what has happened to him beyond the veil!

he will return, as prolif said there was no bllod sacrifice, i'm sure the veil will be reopened and he will walk back out even buffer

I love Merlin, I really do. Sadly the DCs don't all agree so I'm forced to watch it all by myself after they're in bed. This series has been fantastic so far but I'm gutted that Giles Uther's dead
