Panicking now - just watching end of Dr Who and Amy and Rory seem to be leaving the doctor :(
Is this true?? :(

How many more episodes in this series?
Is next week the last one?
I think there's a series of Merlin due soon to take us up to Christmas.

LisasCat · 17/09/2011 20:03

She'll be back. She has to. We've not finished this story arc yet, and she has to be there when it concludes.

LIZS · 17/09/2011 20:05

ds reckons they'll be back for ep.13

Rudawakening · 17/09/2011 20:06

Only 2 more episodes in this series I think. I hope both of them come back.

PersonalClown · 17/09/2011 20:06

2 more episodes to go.

I think he is saving them. I think it has something to do with what was in his room. I heard the Kloister bell so it can't be good.

fergoose · 17/09/2011 20:16

She is signed for next series so she will be back.

sugarandspiceandallthingsnice · 17/09/2011 20:21

Phew! She did annoy me at the start (and I still can't get used to him as the doctor) but I do like the dynamics of having a couple in the tardis rather than the 'will they won't they?'
Saw the Merlin trailer, very excited! Finally some good weekend tv - Merlin, Dr Who, Downton Abbey, George Gently, Casualty (currently watching x factor but prefer the auditions to the rest).
What is everyone else watching?

think she's booked for next season!

chickflit · 17/09/2011 20:44

I think Amy Pond has got to be one of the most irritating characters on TV, it would be too good to be true if she was gone for good.

I've actually given up on Dr Who, I've found that I haven't watched the last two episodes I can't put my finger on it but it's not doing it for me anymore. Such a shame because I do like Matt Smith as the Doctor.

sugarandspiceandallthingsnice · 17/09/2011 21:04

I know what you mean chickflit, it's all the hints that irritate me - River/Melody, Dr's death etc. Mind you James Corden was good before so will enjoy that. Plus I can't take to him as the doctor - never trust a doctor who is younger than you! Grin must stop looking obsessively for David Tennant on any programme

I have shed a tear at every single companion departure of the new series, but this one, though beautifully done, left me cold. I just cant warm to Amy and though I think Matt Smith is a great actor I just dont really care about his Doctor.

Was kind of hoping she'd gone for good - cant understand a word she says Grin

scaevola · 17/09/2011 21:11

Presumably she and Rory have to be left behind. Otherwise why would they have been searching for him in the run up to the shooting?

rosy71 · 17/09/2011 22:12

Someone mentioned that on the other thread. Surely the shooting is in their past though. Amy said she was pregnant and River was with them. They were also searching for him at the start of "Let's Kill Hitler" because they wrote his name in the cornfield.

chickflit · 17/09/2011 22:17

I did notice a trailer on CBBC today for the new series of Sarah Jane Adventures - my favourite ever companion. I reckon I'll shed a few tears at the end of that series.

picnicbasketcase · 17/09/2011 22:20

I hope they do get someone else very soon. Amy is irritating, Rory only exists for the writer to kill off every five minutes and River Song is the crappest plot arc ever and I wish she had never been introduced. Roll on a new companion and less of the timey wimey shit.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 17/09/2011 22:25

Oh please, please, please let this be true. One (if not the) most annoying and pointless characters on TV. Her acting abilities seem to extend no further than swishing her hair and speaking very very quickly to mirror Matt Smith.

The plots are also far too convoluted now imo.

LadyGooGoo · 17/09/2011 22:25

timey wimey shit

Absolutely!

I want a return to proper doctor adventures, no more of the guilt that seems to be ever present.

sugarandspiceandallthingsnice · 17/09/2011 22:35

How can you have new Sarah Jane chickflit, didn't she die?? Or was this filmed before? I love that show so hope it is the latter.

OP posts:
LilyBolero · 17/09/2011 23:42

They filmed about 5 or 6 episodes before she died I think.

Idontknowhowtohelpher · 18/09/2011 09:30

Next Sarah Jane Adventure is on 3rd October

MigratingCoconuts · 18/09/2011 12:11

ok, going out on a bit on a limb here.... I like Matt Smith's doctor and I also like Amy Pond, River Song and Rory and all.....

David Tennant's insistance on a long winded monologue just as he was facing certain doom at the end of every episode was really get right up my nose.

EggyAllenPoe · 18/09/2011 12:17

Sarah Jane didn't die though (or did i miss something)

i like river song. if it was the last we were going to see of soppy-faced and sipid pond, the better. sadly, i don't believe so.

In my book, Good companions carry Nitro 9.

ForYourDreamsAreChina · 18/09/2011 12:17

I live in hope. That the Doc, Amy and Alex Kingston all get eaten up by some big fat scary alien, never to darken my Saturday night again.

40 years of Dr Who loving. Gone. Whoosh. Because of 3 "actors" who are all "jazz hands" with their Ac-ting. Gah.

Let me know when the cast changes, and I'll come running. Till then I don't even watch anymore.

browneyesblue · 18/09/2011 12:23

Eggy - Elisabeth Sladen (who played Sarah Jane) died in April.

I hope River Song returns.

OvO · 18/09/2011 12:28

I love this Dr, and Amy and Rory. I'm easily pleased though. Grin
