Awful awful programme. Just been telling DH, none of DC will be going out of my sight for a looong time Grin

The guy with the prince albert piercing. Jesus Wept Shock

Things have certainly changed since my day.

TheFutureMrsClooney · 19/01/2011 22:47

I must be seriously old fashioned, I thought emotion still came into sex - feel very sad for my two teen daughters if this is really what it's like for them.

thebrownstuff · 19/01/2011 22:48

expat Shock what was that like??????? Shock Shock
Did you know before his kit came off Shock

geordieminx · 19/01/2011 22:49

Didn't know what you were all yanking about then remembered I'm 15 mins behind... Damn sky +

ifancyashandy · 19/01/2011 22:49

No-one is saying there isn't any emotion though. This is a factual programme about safety and choices.

And if the style makes teens watch then, as I said before, job done.

MrsChemist · 19/01/2011 22:51

Hopefully the girl whose just had implanon understands that she still needs to use condoms.

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 19/01/2011 22:51

I have just put my kids in the under stairs cupboard and bricked up the door! Confused

thebrownstuff · 19/01/2011 22:51

ifancyshandy err. Since when did "teens have sex"??? This is exactly the issue I have. Just because a significant minority do, we shouldn't normalise it.
FGS

This is not informing. This is using shock tactics to make it seem somehow cool and normal. We shouldn't accept that it's normal because it isn't.

There are better ways of informing. We should be talking about sex as part of a loving relationship.

JaceyBee · 19/01/2011 22:52

Imarriedafrog - is it really James Cordon's sister? Couldn't tell if you were just being humourous Grin

expatinscotland · 19/01/2011 22:53

No, I had no idea he had one, brown!

We started getting it on and both his nips were pierced.

I was like, 'Okay.'

Then I took off his jeans to give him a BJ and was like, 'Whoa!'

You can feel it even with a condom and it feels good :o.

It is legal to have sex over the age of 16. Last I looked, that was still a teenage year, no?! And if you think that no teens are having sex before or after that age, then you are deluding yourself. And before it gets all 'bunfight-y', I am not saying all but it definitely happens.

Sex can be great as part of a loving relationship. It can also be great fun out of a loving relationship.

I take issue with your 'it is not informing as I have learned stuff and thus am finding it most informative indeed.

JaceyBee · 19/01/2011 22:55

In fairness though thebrownstuff, I lost my virginity age 15, as did most of my peers. I don't know anyone who wasn't a teen when they first did it.

I certainly wouldn't say it was even a significant minority. I'd say it was like 80-90%.

thebrownstuff · 19/01/2011 22:55

expat Grin Grin Grin I think I'll ask DH to consider one. You just made my night...

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 19/01/2011 22:56

this programme is doing nothing for me except letting me know exactly how much pressure there will be for my teens (when they get there). piercing, vajazzling total waxes, anal bleaching for TEENS???

thebrownstuff · 19/01/2011 22:59

bunfight-y Grin was just telling DH about this thread and how I'm to tired for a bunfight today Grin

I've also learned stuff Hmm just don't think I want my DC involved in this type of thing until they're married older and responsible, full of self esteem and have their values properly established.

Anyway, I'm very old fashioned conservative.

thebrownstuff · 19/01/2011 23:01

TBH I don't care if the pope had gay sex at 13, underage sex should not be normalised
