I could be wrong about Peppa Pig, but...

I've been stuck watching Peppa Pig with poorly DCs and have come to the following conclusions.

Grandpa Pig is a retired surgeon who thinks that Mummy Pig married beneath herself and could have done much better. He got Daddy Pig is job through the old boys network when he discovered that the Pig his daughter wanted to marry was hippy busker.

Grandma Pig is head of the church flower arranging committee and is having an affair with Pedro Pig who does the Seniors Salsa class in the chuch hall.

Granddad Dog and Grandpa pig are fighting a class battle as Granddad dog is still having to work for a living to support Danny Dog on behalf of his feckless Mum who is shooting up somewhere and Daddy Dog, who ran off before Danny could even open his eyes.

Granddad Dog would like to tow Granpa Pigs little train off a high cliff, preferably with Grandpa pig still in it.

It all seems so clear after you've watched the same twenty bloody episodes over the course of a day.

Has anyone else noticed these subtleties or do I just need to buy the children a couple of new DVDs?

Lol! If you search there are lots of other threads speculating about mummy pig &iss rabbit etc. We've all been in that Peppa Pig induced hallucinogenic state!

That's what makes it one of the better children's programmes though - it works on more than one level.

That's what I tell myself anyway Blush

You're right in some areas but sadly very wrong in others... Have you not noticed the sexual tension between Granny Pig and Grandad Dog? I refer you to this fabulous thread here. There was also a "live webchat" with Miss Rabbit that was outstanding!

ilythia · 09/01/2011 19:04

you need the Miss Rabbit webchat

BelleDameSansMerci · 09/01/2011 19:05

Actually, there's a link to the webchat in the thread. It's a work of genius!

I remember that thread - so funny!

On a different tangent I think there is a bit of brokeback mountain going on with the dog and the pig!

Figgyrolls · 09/01/2011 19:17

sorry belle didn't see that!

Favourite episode ever was Daddy Pig becoming the best muddy puddle jumping champion... "I must be at one with the puddle"!

I too wondered where Mrs Dog was. Also I really want to do the job that Mummy Pig does from home on the computer.

Oh my god. Grandma Pig and Granddad Dog. Its so clear when you think about it. I knew she was getting it somewhere an Granddad Dog is so bloody obvious. How did I miss that???

I've just read through the other threads, Brillian Grin I wonder if she does so many jobs because there are thousands of other childen that she's not declaring and Richard and Rebecca are the only two she shows in public?

I do think that Daddy Pig's unhealthy relationship with food is down to him surpressing his feelings as he would rather be a performance artist.

Miss Rabbit is actually Mummy Rabbits sister (twin)

I think Danny Dogs mother is around but not his father, as revealed in the Pirate Party episode.
This was revealed in the episode where she was ill and Mummy and Daddy Rabbit, Daddy and Mummy Pig had to do her jobs and were exhausted whilst she had to mind the children and was dying to go back to work!

God I bloody hate Peppa Pig
