I have just seen the round up and am sitting here going "SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!" in excitement!

Is anyone else as thrilled to see this is on as I am?!

next thursday on BBC 4 I think. I literally squealed too :o may need to re-read it before then so I can pick holes in the BBC production :o

I am going to try very hard not to reread it. That way I will get maximum pleasure from the telly version (and then reread and pick it to pieces at a later date).
It is so long since I've read it that I have only the haziest of recollections, so am likely to be very easily pleased.

me, I think the publicity for it has been awful, but I've set the Sky+ to record it just in case I miss it!

we saw the trailer on TV last night and I squealed and told DH how exciting it was - he just turned to me, and totally stony faced, went "It'll be crap, and you'll hate it you know".

maybe I'll save the book re-read for after the show.

can't wait though, I loved those books - even more than HHGTTG. Do you think they'll do the Long Dark Tea-time of the Soul too?

Don't know if I'm excited or worried. I was devastated when I saw the new HHGTTG. AM going to watch the trailer you posted now to see if I dare watch it. BTW I keep these books in my toilet and read them all the time in my few free moments.

Just watched the trailer and I would probably enjoy it if I didn't know the book inside out. Perhaps there's some way I could travel back in time and stop myself reading the books in the first place, that way I could enjoy this programme and then after I've seen it discover the books are great and enjoy them for the rest of my life. ...

I'll be fascinated to see how they do the bits with Reg Chronotis and his library and the whole "one lump or two" thing as we have seen it on telly before in another form. Adams fans will know that ...
