I hope they can get to television centre though - it is absolutely FLUFFING it down with snow in London

I will be weeping into my Quality Street if the final has to be postponed due to snow! I can't wait to see the showdances, I just hope they build on the celebs' strengths throughout the series!

I thought Karen was referring to the Colin/Erin debacle (sobs).

Anyone read the Telegraph today? Very clearly on Pamela's team, in a 'can there be any question who will win' kind of way

I think all are worthy winners, am sneakily cheering for Pam though.

Not sure...would be very disappointing not to see them all. I'm so excited!!!

DH was supposed to be coming home tonight but is snowed in on his base in Buckinghamshire .

This is the first episode I've not been excited about - only cos I'm SSSOOOOO nervous!! Need to get over it - worried that Matt will go into a catatonic state if he doesn't win!

IKWYM farty, I am excited but really nervous at the same time, and also dreading it being over for another year

I'm beyond excited about tonight. It will be a travesty if Kara doesn't win. At the beginning of strictly thisyear I was fully prepared to dislike her (what with being slim, beautiful, sweet etc [envious]) but now I heart her!

StoodAProleyCattleShed - AFAIK (based on previous years) the third placed couple gets knocked out at the end of the first show but still gets to do their showdance. Zoe Ball and Lisa Snowdon both came third and both still did their showdance. I don't know if they will do their dance at the end of the first show or the beginning of the second, but I'm fairly sure they'll get to do it anyway.

What is different (tho I didn't watch the last series so it may have been the same then) is that, according to the radio this morning, the judges aren't scoring at all. It makes sense as the public vote always counts for more if 2 couples are tied, which is likely in the final.

Thinking about it ... unless they only give us a really short time to vote, the 3rd placed couple will have to go at the start of the second show ... not the end of the first, surely ...

The only showdances I can actually remember are Tom and Camilla's (because it was great) and the awful ones (i.e. Dummygate and Lisa Snowdon). The others haven't been particularly memorable have they?

I can remember the year with Alesha/Matt & Flavia/Matt and feeling distincly disappointed with both their showdances.

They too often make the mistake of attempting Cirque du Soleil stylee acrobatics, don't they. Now Matt Baker can pull that sort of stuff off, but the others should do something more ... dance-y imho
