Really don't get why the judges are so in love with Pamela? All I can think of is that the BBC have struck a deal with Billy or Billy has struck a deal with the BBC!!!

I agree Gavin and Scott to go. I also agree Pamela is not as good as her marks and it particularly showed in the swingathon. It looked almost as if she and James weren't really bothering as it was only worth a potential 5 marks.

I really want Kara to win with Matt second :)

kara is so good it's hard to tell who is the pro when she dances. SHe is in a different league to Pamela.

I'm at work tonight, tomorrow & Sunday night so I'll have to wait to catch up on Monday . Don't know how I'm going to contain myself from checking in on this thread until Monday!

Prolesworth - totally agree! It always feels like we're missing out on something by not having the interview/best bits of the winners!!

Evening all, just checking in with my thoughts.

Pamela's Paso - didn't like it. She was wobbly through the transitions and very little content.

Gavin's Samba - way too fast for him! If they'd used slightly slower music he may have coped better. I think it's one of the fastest pieces they've used for a celeb. Heck I've been dancing samba for 2 years and I don't use music that fast!
Finally seems to be relaxing a little, but time to go.

Kara's VW - lovely. Very graceful and effortless.

Scott's Tango - started out so well but seemed to get lost. A shame but I think his time is up.

Matt's "salsa" - defo a contender for worst piece of music for a salsa! Choreography was dodgy (erm hip grinding on the floor ) and just too try hard. Disappointing.

Matt & Kara for the Final, but not sure who will go with them.

LOL - just heard on 5Live that Craig is playing the Wicked Queen in panto in Crawley this year

Bit of goss - I have heard that Mel Smith (remember him?) is a fan of Strictly but can't bear to watch it this year as Pamela is in it - he HATES her!!

Poor Matt, I thought he was going to cry . I don't know why the judges were so hard on him, I do think Aliona made their dance unnecessarily showy though, would have been better if it was simpler and more polished. They seem to adore pamela and I don't get that either! I really hope he makes it to the final but I like scott too, so hope pamela and gav go.

I felt so sorry for Matt. He really did look crushed and like he couldn't talk to Tess because he was going to cry :(

I didn't see Scott smirking. I thought everyone in the background (Kara, Scott, James) all looked really gutted for him and sympathetic.

I thought Kara's VW was incredible. Just beautiful. I really wanted her to get 4 10s. I think she's been the best from day one.

I don't know about Pamela. I think she's very good. But I do find her quite irritating and I do sometimes think she gets a bit over-marked. Nice to see a more mature woman as a serious contender though. Actually, last night I was watching her thinking she's good but is she really any better than Cherie Lunghi was? I thought she did some beautiful dances but she left quite early.

Too awful - poor Matt. But I agree the routine was really dodgy. Especially the floor grinding. All Aliona's fault though. Awful to see him so upset - wanted to whisk him away and look after him forever......
