Someone tell me the truth about Josie Jump(Balamory)!!

I was talking with my blokey the other day about Balamory and how annoying it is when the theme tune gets stuck in your head!!!
He told me that some friends of his went to see the village that is used as the setting when one of their children asked why the original Josie Jump left.
The miserable old bloke they asked turned round and said "How many times do I have to tell people that she's dead"!!!
Someone please tell me that he's trying to make an idiot out of me and that this story is not true!!!

Thank god for that!!! Thought the blokey was trying to get me. Miserable old git for telling the kiddies that though.

She's not dead and still does the Christmas pantos apparently. The official line is that she was "too busy" to sign up for lots of future episodes.

I'm not sure that she didn't perhaps have a baby.

I felt a bit silly starting this thread if it was a joke by the blokey but I'm at the old bloke for telling kids this.
It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who heard this.

Josie Jump is probably busy with her shifts in Burger King

spursmum · 18/09/2005 19:16

LOL moozo. She probably did a diva and started to ask for ridiculous wages and perks in her dressing room!!!

Personally I don't think the new Josie Jump is a patch on the old one. She says all her lines "as-though-she-is-reading-them". Listen next time she's on.

moozoboozo · 18/09/2005 19:19

Can you imagine being a diva on Balamory. I bet that Archie's too big for his boots as well.

spursmum · 18/09/2005 19:23

I want still evian water, only blue smarties and all white duck down cushions in my dressing room now!!!!!
Ahhh the lifestyles of the wierd and wonderful!!

I cannot stand the new Josie!
She looks a right know it all smug sort.

ellceeell · 18/09/2005 20:00

In his other life, Archie is a (fairly blue) stand up comedian.

flamesparrow · 18/09/2005 20:03

Lmao @ the miserable old bloke!!!

I told DD that the new one is from an evil dimension. She's locked the old one away in a cupboard and is plotting a way to secretly swap all the original cast with their evill alter egos.

Luckily DD is 2, and has no idea what any of that means

spursmum · 18/09/2005 20:12

LOL flamesparrow. Maybe they re-incarnate like doctor who when the bosses are bored with them?

saadia · 18/09/2005 20:15

I liked the first Josie - she had joie de vivre, I am trying to give the new one a chance but I must say the first one was much better.

edam · 18/09/2005 20:19

New one looks spectacularly unco-ordinated to me - not a girl for whom exercise is second nature. She makes me look sporty, which takes some doing, I can tell you!

mmmmchocolate · 18/09/2005 20:26

sorry to gate crash but does any one think pc plum is gay???? he wears too much make up and has pefectly plucked eyebrows.?

zippy539 · 18/09/2005 20:27

Crickey, I thought the old Josie Jump was RUBBISH and presumed she had been sacked cause she was a complete plank of wood and always looked like the whole thing was a bit beneath her. I quite like the new one....

Am I alone????

moozoboozo · 18/09/2005 20:29

PC Plums is deffo a friend of Dorothy's

And I hate the woamn in the shop. She has no neck

Eve · 18/09/2005 20:30

He is in real life, there was somethinig in the news about him and his partner being victimisied by their homophobic neighbours a while ago.

Neighbours were charged in court and he had to move.

moozoboozo · 18/09/2005 20:31

I would love the story in Balamory to be something about drug trafficking, drive by shootings and orgies.

But I do quite like it really

spursmum · 18/09/2005 20:31

Afraid that I think you might be alone zippy, I can't stand the new one but then again I try to avoid the programme full stop!!!
MMMchocolate my blokey thinks pc plum is shagging miss hoolie..something about when they were supposed to go on a trip together and he had to cancel she was ssooooo disappointed!!!
My blokey doesn't think like normal people!!!

OP posts:
moozoboozo · 18/09/2005 20:32
