Someone tell me the truth about Josie Jump(Balamory)!!

I was talking with my blokey the other day about Balamory and how annoying it is when the theme tune gets stuck in your head!!!
He told me that some friends of his went to see the village that is used as the setting when one of their children asked why the original Josie Jump left.
The miserable old bloke they asked turned round and said "How many times do I have to tell people that she's dead"!!!
Someone please tell me that he's trying to make an idiot out of me and that this story is not true!!!

Strap ons

Flossam · 18/09/2005 20:55

Sorry SM! In my little mind I thought it was trying to say that the guns weren't doing the killing, it was the 'robbers' - ie nasty people. Guess a lot of rappers fit that bill anyhow!

spursmum · 18/09/2005 20:55

Porn for when the kiddies have gone home!!!
The nursery has been violated!!!

No need to apologise to me Flossam !! but im now humming the tune in my head with the "new" lyrics now!!! But thats why they name a lot of rappers in the song Cypress hill, Eminem, Biggie, tupac etc
I just love the video!! hence the Penny Pocket visions!!

I heards that the original Josie Jumps Dad died IRL and she could not carry of filming as was too upset.

As for Plummie and Hoolie, they ahve got to be doing the do surely, what with their webchats when he was in Venice and all. I reckon they will marry by the end of the last series, Archie will be bridesmaid!

spursmum · 18/09/2005 21:08

Visions of Archie in a loverly dress and those bloody boots that he wears!!

flamesparrow · 19/09/2005 09:18

They'll get to the altar and Archie will do the banging on the church doors/window scene going "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" and him and Plummers will run off together into the sunset.

slug · 19/09/2005 13:46

DH is convinced that the dotty old one in the shop (not Penny) was one of the evil villagers in 'The Wickerman'

flamesparrow · 19/09/2005 16:23

That's Edie Macredie - she had a small role in it.

moozoboozo · 19/09/2005 22:56

I watched it on cbeebies channel today. There was robbery in the shop. (Spencer ate a sticky bun without paying for it) Plummers really is a shite cop.

Mind you, he did get his over sized magnifying glass out, so all was not lost.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 20/09/2005 23:53

pmsl at you lot

I too get engrossed with Cbeebies.I bought dd that new cd 'my first album' and the Balamory theme tune was on it.My dh was driving and when it come even he started singing it! He says that 'there is a definate hint of lavender about old plummy'

Also wonder whats under Archies kilt........

oo err missis

jacqueline1 · 13/10/2005 15:00

I'm new to the site so please forgive me if this has already been discussed but does anyone else have bizarre crushes on some of the CBeebies actors/presenters? Big Cook and Little Cook for a start, followed by Archie from Balamory (all of whom are stand up comedians in their other lives!), not to mention the prolific Justin Fletcher! Is it just me who has these strange fantasies?

Lio · 13/10/2005 15:52

And while we're here what are the lyrics - something about Archie "He's terribly clever and terribly ...."

Lio · 13/10/2005 16:25

So the thing to do is to stop being a lazy Lio and Google it - the missing word is arty!

jacqueline1 · 13/10/2005 16:38

Or you could go onto the CBeebies website and download the lyrics from there! (How sad do you have to be to know you can do that?!)

Lonelymum · 13/10/2005 16:43

Can anyone provide a link to show me the two Josie Jumps. I keep hearing that there has been a change but I used to see Balamorey a bit over a year ago (when dd watched it) and then saw it again today (with ds3) and, as far as I could see, she was the same person.

jacqueline1 · 13/10/2005 17:53

bigpaul.fotopic.net/c308674.html www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/balamory - hold your mouse over Josie Jump's house. They're the best photos I can find. And apparently the actress who normally plays Miss Hoolie isn't doing the current live show as she's having a baby.

Lonelymum · 13/10/2005 18:01

Thanks jacqueline but I couldn't get the first link to work so I am none the wiser. I will take everyone's word for it!

ameli · 11/11/2005 21:55

Agree with the whole pc plum miss hoolie romance sumthing is deffo goin on there. so....do you think archie wears anything undeer that kilt of his, prob wears a jockstrap...made out of Youghurt pot!

mandymac · 11/11/2005 22:22

You lot are mental! ROFL at this thread. I will tell you what though, its curing my fear of returning to work..........it may save me from this lunacy

ernest · 12/11/2005 15:09

I've actually stayed (accidently) in the hotel that is josie Jump's house & the owner seemed ok to me & didn't flinch (nor tell us she was dead). He was Mr Talkalot though.

PC Plum is gay so unlikely to be getting it on with Josie

expatinscotland · 12/11/2005 15:09

I thought Archie was gay?!

ernest · 12/11/2005 15:18

maybe it's archie & pc plum then??
