TheCrackFox · 29/09/2010 21:10

How sad, I've teared up a bit at it all. so bloody unfair.

I hope her build goes well, she has enough to deal with TBH.

meanymum · 29/09/2010 21:10

Yes very Shock. Didn't expect that.

Hulababy · 29/09/2010 21:10

Wasn't expecting that. Very sad.

juneybean · 29/09/2010 21:11

I knew this was coming, so heartbreaking to hear him talk at the beginning

potplant · 29/09/2010 21:13

Oh I missed the beginning what happened?

sandyballs · 29/09/2010 21:13

What did he die of, mssed the very first bit. Cancer I presume but what sort? So sad, amazing lady.

drivingmisscrazy · 29/09/2010 21:13

so shitty -and the children are so small :( and of course now she has to do everything and grieve and build a house...I hope she doesn't end up feeling that it's like a mausoleum - she might feel the need to move on in a few years

shed a tear or 2 here too

jpg · 29/09/2010 21:14

stomach cancer

TheCrackFox · 29/09/2010 21:14

He died of stomach cancer. Sad

TheBolter · 29/09/2010 21:15

My god, so sad. He seemed so lovely.

orienteerer · 29/09/2010 21:23

She seems very strong

essenceofSES · 29/09/2010 21:27

Amazing lady! Hope she ends up very happy with the house and it becomes a lovely home for them with good memories as well as the legacy from her husband.

FlyMeToDunoon · 29/09/2010 21:29

Scary to see him look fine and then he's gone. Sad
The house looks very nice and I'm please it's down to earth.

pebblejones · 29/09/2010 21:32

I'm watching too. Her house is going to be beautiful I'm sure, she seems to have an excellent architect and builder. I'm glad she went ahead and did it on her own.

BitOfFun · 29/09/2010 21:34

Have only just tuned in. How sad.

PotPourri · 29/09/2010 21:39

Yeah, I was chatting to dh and all of a sudden heard - died in 2008. I was like - what??? Poor thing.

I do think she's doing the wrong thing to build it - I second the mausoleum comment. I don't think it is her dream really....!

aristocat · 29/09/2010 21:42

i couldnt carry on with the build personally, she does seem very nice and hope it all goes well.

potplant · 29/09/2010 21:43

But she has had to make lots of changes to so it's not really the original vision.

TheCrackFox · 29/09/2010 21:46

Financially, though, it might have been the most sensible thing to carry on with the build. Moreover, I don't think it will be a mausoleum as she has had to make quite a few changes and has had no option but to put her own stamp on it.

She seems like an incredibly strong woman.

SparkyMalarky · 29/09/2010 21:47

She is quite incredible isn't she. Not sure I'd have the strength to do it, but do understand why she wants to. The house looks beautiful - I hope it's a lovely home for her and the kids.

Katz · 29/09/2010 21:48

So sad, like the house. Like that it's evolved from the original idea but still has his ideas in it.

PotPourri · 29/09/2010 21:53

poor thing. She looks like she is fighting tears at all times. Kevin McCloud hasn't challenged her at all. Good for her to go ahead, I hope she finds peace there - poor soul.

drivingmisscrazy · 29/09/2010 21:55

house is gorgeous! hope she can be happy there
