White Rabbit

Brace yourselves for a treat, ladies (and some gentlemen, too, of course), when Dr Handsome strips off and dives into the ocean to help rescue a drowning passenger in the latest episode of this hugely successful Robinson Crusoe for our times. Never mind the plot, get a look at that torso! But just in case we should run off with the idea that Dr Handsome (Matthew Fox) is little more than a sex object, we also learn, in flashback, that he's tormented by a difficult relationship with his father. And we find out just why he was on that plane from Australia to America. The doc is obviously a troubled man, and his repeated glimpses of a strange figure lead him deeper into the heart of darkness. It's all very silly, if involving in a daft kind of way. But why does Lost have to be so humourless?

Anyone else noticed how, so far as we know, noone seems to have planned to be on the plane iyswim? Its all kind of last minute decisions or due to events outside their control. Everyone i can think of who's stories we know anyway, the kid, his dad, the woman, the police guy, the guy who was in the wheelchair, and then tonights channel 4 episode there are 2 more. What do you think?

RTKangaMummy · 31/08/2005 20:52

So now we have the korean (?) woman wasnt planning to be there either. And also a polar bear aint meant to be on a tropical island and a beehive aint meant to be on the floor, definately a pattern but not sure what it means.

And yeah think he is the bloke off party of five, or so ive heard anyway

RTKangaMummy · 01/09/2005 00:07

the woman who was in aussie who was under arrest

was on TV this morning and she was not an actyress before this was at uni in vancouver, and working in cafe and IIRC a garage

She went for audition in jan last year and went to hawaii filming in the march

Perhaps it is TOPSY TURVY LAND like in the Mr Men story

Deffo Charlie from Party of Five.

I'm loving this. DH told me that his friend has the entire series on DVD..... oh the temptation!

RTKangaMummy · 01/09/2005 00:55

I know what you mean I hate it when it finishes each week on E4 so to watch the DVD would be instant but would then feel cross with myself

But I would be able to tease you guys

My friends said the polar bear was pink. I didn't notice that, have to say. Anyone else think the polar bear was pink?

It had a kind of pink tinge but i think that was just meant to be dirt and possibly blood seeing as he shot it about 5 times. Think it was meant to be just a normal polar bear though.

edgetop · 01/09/2005 11:33

Have you noticed everyone has some sort of problem in their life:
Convict on run;
Doc with Bad relationship with Dad (now dead);
Drug problem;
Can't walk, and
Father having to look after a son he doesn't know

So far no one we have gotten to know comes from an ordinary problem free background.

greenbean · 01/09/2005 14:39

Roobie · 01/09/2005 18:09

They're filming a second series aren't they?

edodgy · 01/09/2005 19:35

I really like Lost but does anyone else find the constant adverts annoying? We recorded it on sky plus and have just watched it now skipping the ads and there is 17 minutes of adverts in the hour!
