I could watch each episode again and again.

Actually I do.

But the show that's just been shown on E4 when they try the breastmilk and Monica goes shopping with Ross's gorlfriend Julie has to be one of the classics.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this one yet - the one where Rachel makes what she thinks is a tradional trifle, but gets the pages of the cookbook stuck together with a shepherds pie recipe and puts meat in it. They all have to eat it and pretend it's lovely!

And the one where Joey's agent Estelle dies, and Phoebe, not knowing Estelle's dead, rings Joey pretending to be her.

Most of my favourites have already been mentioned. I like 'pivot' the best of all, because when it was first shown I was having a very similar problem getting a sofa into my tiny top floor flat - I bought three before I got one that fitted, and I remember sitting on the floor watching it - the bit at the end where he tries to return it after he's cut it in half is great.

Also love Joey speaking french. has anyone mentioned Joey's hand twin (in Vegas, I think)?

Also love anything with Frank Jnr in, and honorable mentions to Alec Baldwin, Brooke Shields, crazy Eddie and Sean Penn.

The breastmilk one was on again this morning! I do love Friends but I'm not sure E4 are very good at rotating it. The OP mentioning it was only 5 days ago! There's 10 years' worth of episodes! If anyone from E4's reading this, put the one where no-one's ready on tomorrow..

Thought of yet another one- the dirty girl Ross goes out with. Her apartment is covered in garbage and Ross mistakes her hamster for a rat.

And the one where Ross has to carry the smelly dog during Phoebe and Mikes' wedding.

The only thing I don't really like about Friends is how they all became complete caricatures by the end, rather than just normal 'kooky' people in the beginning. Joey was never that stupid, Ross became crazy and completely effeminate, Chander whiney, Monica also whiney and terse, Phoebe really weird and Rachel went from a air head socialite to a wealthy, completely together career woman.

Oh, just remembered another good scene, where they are trying to explain to the others about how Monica got stung by a jelly fish and Chandler peed on her leg :)

Noone's mentioned one of my faves, another set piece where Ross tries to chat up the pizza delivery girl, Rachel and Phoebe lose Monica's special earrings and Joey and his grandma come round to watch him on tv and they have to record him, but Chandler comes on at the end of the tape singing - ground control to major Tom...

Defintely PIVOT and the spray tan one. Both had me crying on first view.

Joey stands in the cubicle nextdoor and looks over: "uh ohh someone's flossing!"

the best bit though is when Chandler leaves the resturant wearing just frilly panties and the door from the toilet cubicle Sooo dignified!

Love all the ones when they hark back to the eighties (Fat Monica, Rachels massive hooter and Ross and Chandlers lack of style of priceless)

Can't think of a bad episode but I didn't like Elle McPherson when she guest starred. Don't think it was her fault that she never said anything interesting or funny.

Rachel screaming at Joey to stop eating the cake shaped like a penis and shouting that her baby's face is on a penis is brilliant! Especially when Joey says he thinks the cake looked yummier as a penis than as a bunny after Ross fixes it!

I never saw the whole series, but have just bought some dvds and have started watching it again from the very begining. How exciting! Noticed that it doesn't really get seriously pant wettingly funny til about half way through the first series - did the writers really up their game then for some reason?

My favourite is the one where Rachel finds out that Ross has lied about getting their marriage annulled and they are still married. When they do go to get it annulled Rachel tells them that Ross is an intravenous drug user and is gay

Also the one where Ross puts on a British accent when he's lecturing and Monica and Rachel find out and also put on ridiculous accents

The one when Chandler and Monica come back from honeymoon and are trying to get in touch with Jenny and Greg - "Is that another joke?" "Is that another question?"

Love Friends too - never get sick of watching it on E4. I have friends in work who have NEVER watched it! When they say this all I can think is " I am so jealous". Imagine the joy of being able to watch every episode FOR THE FIRST TIME!!

Can't believe I missed this thread first time round. I watched them all when they were on originally and was such a fan that DH bought me the DVD box set when I was pregnant with DD - many a night when I couldn't sleep I was to be found sitting at 2am drinking hot chocolate and giggling. Couldn't possibly name a favourite although I do really love the one where Phoebe tries to seduce Chandler and the one where they watch the video of Rachel and Ross getting together. Must watch some of the Youtube links later.

Glad this thread is being revived. One of my funniest moments came on yesterday- Monica and Ross's brother and sister dance. I taped that ten years ago when I had a video player and rewound that dance over and over again!
