Which starts tonight and will be on for for nights.

Hope its as good as the one they did last year with Maxine Peake in it!

OP posts:
Alambil · 12/07/2010 23:52

I liked it - just hope it keeps the pace and doesn't get weak at the end

OnEdge · 12/07/2010 23:58

I liked it and was strangly attracted to ugly detective husband. Was very sexy in the kitchen !!!! I liked it !!!

mamasunshine · 13/07/2010 21:59

Oh the 2nd episode ended on an exciting note! I'll definately be watching tomorrow!

TartyMcFarty · 14/07/2010 08:55

Some of the characters really set my teeth on edge though. The girl's mother for example.

mamasunshine · 14/07/2010 20:21

I agree tarty, i do feel myself saying "get a grip", "let her enjoy her life", etc etc. Very much looking forward to night's episode

LauraNorder · 14/07/2010 20:44

Just started watching it on the iplayer tonight. Good start.

roisin · 14/07/2010 20:51

I've recorded these to watch later - life's too hectic this week!

LadyBiscuit · 14/07/2010 20:52

I am drumming my fingers until tonight's episode - so far, very good indeed

Alambil · 14/07/2010 21:57

it's got really good pace, this one; the last one they did was a bit lame

won't say anything else cos don't want to spoil it

LauraNorder · 14/07/2010 21:58

Just coming to the end of episode 2, might just have to keep going!

LadyBiscuit · 14/07/2010 22:08

Ooh blimey! V good indeed

kittya · 15/07/2010 09:25

why does Gina Mckee always play the same part in whatever she is in?

LauraNorder · 15/07/2010 13:16

Is Gina Amelia's mother?

BenHer · 15/07/2010 13:57

Yes Laura.

Thoroughly enjoyed this and looking forward to tonights finale.

bathbuns · 15/07/2010 18:40

I think the girl who plays Amelia is an amazing actress. I hope she gets big parts in other things.

I'm looking forward to the finale tonight.

OnEdge · 15/07/2010 19:14

Ive jut read that Genevieve Barr who plays Amelia is deaf, I. think she is a brilliant actress.

Anyone else fancy Jim?

LauraNorder · 15/07/2010 19:28

Yes Amelia is played brilliantly. Agree about the actress who plays her mother - always the same part!

Lulumaam · 15/07/2010 20:30

have thoroughly enjoyed it and cannot wait for the final installment

as an aside, teh house they live in is gooooorgeous! I might do my bedroom burnt orange and lime when we ever get round to redecorate

i think it is superbly acted, interesting and an innovative twist on the corrupt police drama

brilliant acting /casting/ scripting

it's rare anything captures my attention on TV these days. but this really has!

Alambil · 15/07/2010 21:07

was a very sick trick that copper pulled with the money

Very nearly missed the end of this - we had a cut that came back on at 8 58

ptangyangkipperbang · 15/07/2010 22:13

How fantastic was that? It's not often that I'm so impressed with a programme. Brilliant story, fantastic acting, tense, believable (unfortunately) - well done BBC.

cocolepew · 16/07/2010 09:56

What a bloody crap ending.

partyhats · 16/07/2010 10:43

I agree, what a crap ending, it was like they could'nt be bothered to tie up all the ends. Are we meant to deduce that Rocky sorts it all out???

bathbuns · 16/07/2010 13:29

So is Jim meant to have survived? Or not?

Mingg · 16/07/2010 13:44

Indeed, what a crap ending

motheroftwoboys · 16/07/2010 14:36

Onedge - the BBC would never have dared not to use a Deaf actress. They would have been slated. I spent a few years working on programmes for Deaf people and learned a huge amount about Deaf issues. In my (very humble) opinion The Silence was a good portrayal of the problems of a Deaf girl growing up with hearing parents -specially the issues of the cochlear implant. Will be interesting to learn what the Deaf community thought about it.
