I think that is really sweet. She will love it.

Janh · 25/05/2005 09:38

That's really sweet, aaa, I bet she will love it. (You are a loon of course but I expect she knows that already )

chonky · 25/05/2005 09:38

Nooooo, I think that's a lovely idea. I bet it'll make her feel really grown-up being given posh flowers. Good luck to your dd

hotmama · 25/05/2005 09:42

I think that this is a top idea. What a fab mum.

Gwenick · 25/05/2005 09:43

That'a a lovely idea, I bet she'll really appreciate it - and as others have said feel 'grown up' getting sent flowers.

Gwenick · 25/05/2005 09:44

oh and as for the 'loon' bit........well don't ALL teenagers think their mum's are loons at some point or other

Hulababy · 25/05/2005 09:44

I think it is a lovely thought. I am sure she will thnk the same.

soapbox · 25/05/2005 09:45

I think thats very thoughtful - I'm sure she will be chuffed to bits

Lizzylou · 25/05/2005 09:47

I think thats a lovely thing to do, I remember my Mom buying me flowers when I'd finished my GCSSE's and I felt so grown up!

yoyo · 25/05/2005 09:48

She'll be thrilled I'm sure. Is it English today?

KBear · 25/05/2005 09:48

She will love it - what a top mum you are! Good luck to all taking their exams - I remember it well. My mum gave me a good luck card that she had cross-stitched - still have it.

chenin · 25/05/2005 09:50

What a lovely idea ! I only managed a card but think it was appreciated. Hormone/stress levels very high with DD1 today and english lit paper!

compo · 25/05/2005 09:51

you are a top mum my mum bought me a tiny good luck charm to go on a necklace when I was dong my A levels and i wore it to every exam. I was so touched.

PinkFluffPudding · 25/05/2005 09:51

That's lovely. Wish my mum had done the same!

maddiemo · 25/05/2005 09:59

I think it is lovely. We bought my sds a present when he sat 11+ rather than when he got the result.

I think it lets them know how special they are and that you acknowledge the pressure they are under rather than the test result being the be all and end all.

Tiggiwinkle · 25/05/2005 10:01

I am sure she will love it! My DS starts today too-doing English Lit right now!

lemonice · 25/05/2005 10:03

I think it's a great idea....what would be suitable for a ds doing AS ...

almostanangel · 25/05/2005 10:07

same i think!! everybody loves flowers nd teddys..thanks all i feel good now!

Almostanangel - was it your daughter who was upset a while back and you found it was boy trouble and pressure of exams? One of your first posts? I remember thinking then how caring you were and you have firmly confirmed my initial thoughts. I hope the exams go really well for her and that she has a lovely Summer to relax.

KBear · 25/05/2005 10:20

lemonice - what about buying him a CD of his favourite band? Or going out for a curry tonight or something to just ease the pressure (do teenagers want to go out for curries with their parents????) .

swiperfox · 25/05/2005 10:25

Aww bless. I reckon she'll love them and you to bits!!

Wish you'd been my Mum!! lol

almostanangel · 25/05/2005 10:32
