Hi all, My daughter is showing signs of periods arriving soon and I wondered if there is any advice you would give to me that you would have liked yourself? Pads, tampons, knickers, practical advice, anything really?

Evening, everyone. We had to delete some troll hunting early on here, so we just wanted to pop in and reassure anyone, in case it were needed, that we've had a look at the OP and there's nothing we can see to make us think she isn't genuine.
She had asked us to remove the thread but has kindly agreed to give it a go so please do help her out with some advice and suggestions. This is a topic so many of us need a bit of help with and it would be a shame to let the fact that we occasionally have the odd troll through on this subject stop parents from discussing such an important everyday topic. We like to think this is the kind of thing Mumsnet is here for in the first place.
