Tbh, there's not really a lot you can do to stop them. All you can do is make sure they are careful.

16 year olds have sex, and there's not a lot anyone can do about it tbh - and the more you prohibit it, the more attarctiver a prospect it becomes.

My mum used to just turn a blind eye and let me get on with it.

yes I suggested she talk to her dd about condoms,the pill etc just to make sure she's being careful and she nearly slapped me!

I wouldn;t like to think of my babies having sex, whatever age - but they are going to do it (well, hopefully) at some point in their lives

but "X" knows that my dd may tell me and I would tell "X" mum

So I take that with a pinch of salt tbh

I never said a thing,thinking I would be betraying X's confidence.

Then her mum (my best friend ) got a call fomr boyfriends mum asking about sleeping arrangements.Cue: my best mate being seriously embarassed as she said her dd had no bf.

Anywya she found out I had known and was a bit peeved I had not said anything.

turns out her dd said she wouldn't have minded me telling her mum and was half expecting me to tell her, to save her the embarrassment of doing it.

Tricky one then. Her real problem is not what you know, but why her DD is not confiding in her.

And maybe a case of shoot the messenger then. Why is she so reluctant to tell her mum this stuff herself?
