Socks and Sliders

What are your thoughts of socks and sliders. My two boys (15/12) have gone crazy with this and want to wear socks (Black or white only) and their adidas or SuperDry sliders to the shops and sometimes out with friends. Is this the new fashion? Growing up for me it was Sliders and no socks or you'd only get funny looks with socks. Is this normal fashion

Yes it’s definitely normal now. Socks n sliders has been a thing for around 18 months. Mostly came around as a result of DofE expeditions, everybody would be walking around in sliders and socks more often than not

Seems to be popular with younger to mid teens. It does look daft to me, but for some reason teens seem to think it looks right!

Fortunately 18y DD doesn't and neither do her friends.
