Im devestated to discover my 14 yr old DD tried to have intercourse woth her Bf and they never used or discussed contraception. i came accross messages on a shared computer at home. i got her the morning after pill and have an appointment with a family planning centre. i also discovered she has been telling lots of lies recently and is so good at lying. i feel i have no idea who she is and dont like the person she is growing into. Im going to talk to her boyfriend and explain what i expect from both of them or ill go to his parents about this and the consequences of protected sex which im shocked they wouldnt understand this already. anyone ever found themselves in this position? i feel like ive lost the child i thought i knew.

Your girl is growing up and she’s now interested in sex and I don’t blame you for stressing she’s only 14 but either way one day it’s going to happen so you have every right to give her the talk on contraception. Make sure she listens about it otherwise give her every single detail of your pregnancy right through to when you gave birth to her including stitches. If you know someone who has a baby, offer your daughter up for a babysitting stint.you might not be able to stop her having sex but you can defo delay any suprises of her becoming a young teenage mum

Also tell her she can use the word no and that she isn’t being forced into something she doesn’t want to do.

Literarydevil I work in family planning and providing the dr feels the girl is frazer competent there's no reason why a coil can't be fitted - I've assisted with fitting coils in 14 year olds before

Upshltcreek- you can hardly insist on condoms unless you are there!! Also - implant not recommended until age 20 or so as can affect growing bones.

I think you should be talking to the boy's parents anyway whatever else you decide.

I am at the other end of this and has a conversation with my 14 year
Old son today who has been with his gf for 10 months he swears
Nothing has happened but the thought knocks me sick x I've had a huge conversation about contraception today but also that she is someone's daughter and I hope he respect someone's
Dad would be very angry at him.
