Found some xanax and valium

In son's room. He's 18. I know he indulges in weed. We have had previous discussions and disagreements over it.

However, finding benzodiazapines has floored me and I'm not sure what to do.

Any advice?

No, I don't really have anyone. I've spoken to his dad who will also speak to him but sadly, his dad's favourite way to deal with things is the 'believe what's said and stick your head in the sand' method so that you can carry on with your own life, all sweetness and light.

The thing I definitely do not want to do is to push my son away or get angry. Neither do I want to seem like I'm condoning his behaviour or enabling him in any way because I want to keep a safe home available for him.
