Hi everyone I'm Charlotte and I had my little girl 3 weeks ago. I am 16 and I was 15 when I found out I was pregnant. Me and her dad have been together for nearly 2 years and we pay for everything that she needs. If you want to know anything else just ask me as I won't mind answering your questions. Smile

Well I kinda hope there isn't if im honest OP, but there probably are forums out there which have teen pregnancys and parenthood on them if you don't get any joy here.

Generally people have a question or start a discussion rather than just giving random biographical facts.

Also this topic is to discuss the horror of raising teenagers which is a way off for you right now.

Congratulations on your new baby! As someone else mentioned this is a thread about teenagers rather than for teenagers if you see what I mean. There are various areas though that might be of interest eg there's a sleep one, a feeding one etc if you have specific questions etc.

How are you, B and her dad all getting on?

If she wishes to "out" herself that is entirely her choice

She wouldn't have given those details if she genuinely minded it

I don't get the issue with it tbh. It's not against the guidelines and some people don't care if they identifiable online

Thank you and all 3 of us are getting on great me and my boyfriend love being parents even though we are both 16 we can handle it as we provide everything she needs.

One thing I do hope you post, is things to discourage teens from getting pregnant. Not encouraging it

When you say you provide her with everything does this mean you live alone and dad goes out to work or are you living with patents ? Do you have good support ?

Congratulations OP.

I was 19 when I had DD. It's hard but I don't think it's any harder for a teen than it is for a 30 something year old. Just enjoy it and take each day as it comes.

I'm not going to encourage teen pregnancy and I'm just going to be posting on how my life is as a teen mum. As some people may not have the same amount of support as me so I would love to help them through it. X

Thank you again for congratulation messages. And yes my mum helps out whenever I need to do something for school or have a shower that's when my boyfriend hasn't finished work yet as he finishes around 6. But she loves her granddaughter so much she will do anything for her.Smile

My and my boyfriend don't have our own place yet but we are hoping to in the future. But we provide her with clothes, nappies and milk but we haven't brought any yet as I am breastfeeding.

I think that is true that a teen parent and a 30 year old parent can find it the same amount of difficulty as raising a baby is tough whatever age. And I'm not encouraging teen pregnancy by saying that.

Hi newmummy!......I didn't want to read and run. I had my first DC at 17. And that child is now your age! We faced a lot of opposition from friends and family who said we were 'too young'. And at the time it made me feel like crap. I hated the label 'Teen Mum', and still do. My DP worked his way up in a fabulous career, I worked varied jobs as DC was growing up and fit in a Degree to. We saved and brought our first house when I was 20. Myself and her Dad are still together after 17yrs, and our child (that most people criticised me for having) has recently passed every GCSE at A*, A and B grade (Not bad for a 'Teen Mum' who should have had an abortion)...Not my words....But I had that said to me more than once at your age! Anyway. Congratulations on your baby x You and the little one have your whole lifes ahead and anything is possible. Good luck xxx
