Hi everyone I'm Charlotte and I had my little girl 3 weeks ago. I am 16 and I was 15 when I found out I was pregnant. Me and her dad have been together for nearly 2 years and we pay for everything that she needs. If you want to know anything else just ask me as I won't mind answering your questions. Smile

Yeah I did think that the teenagers section was for teen mums oh well. Hopeful I get some good advice on here

newmummyy16 · 22/09/2016 09:57

That is such a nice message LucLuc and I'm happy that someone replied who was also a teen mum. Luckily i still have my friends and the love to come round and see the baby. And I have my stepdad and mums full support and my friends still see me a few day in the week. Smile

My mum was 17 when she fell pregnant with me

She turned 18 in June, got married in August and had me in December

Frazzled2207 · 22/09/2016 10:06

Charlotte
I had my first at 35, had already done the whole marriage, career, mortgage thing and have found having kids very tough going.
I have a friend the same age that had her daughter at 19 and now is the same age as you and although she found the early years tough, she's getting her life back now at while I and other mum friends in their late 30 really struggle with everything!

If you're got any questions about anything at all post away. Be aware mumsnet is more geared up to posters asking questions rather than inviting others to ask iyswim. You might also want to have a look at the postnatal clubs section

  • there will be "clubs" there you can join with mums who've just had their babies eg. In august or september. There may well be some younger mums there but regardless you might find some moral support as everyone will have the same concerns right now especially regarding feeding and (not) sleeping.
Are you managing to go back to school? Must be very difficult but worthwhile if you can somehow manage.
newmummyy16 · 22/09/2016 10:07

Aww that's cute are your parents still together now

newmummyy16 · 22/09/2016 10:08

Yeah I am doing school but online so whenever I have the time I just do as much as I can

Soubriquet · 22/09/2016 10:11

Yep. My parents went on to have my sister 2 years later and they also have a 4 year old now too. Surprise pregnancy.

They have 4 grandchildren and they are both in their 40's

KateLivesInEngland · 22/09/2016 10:20

Crikey, cut her some slack. It's not very identifying to know her name is charlotte and she's 16 and in the Uk, is it?
Bet you can't guess what my name is and where I live Grin

PurpleDaisies · 22/09/2016 10:24

kate the first post was edited by mumsnet to make it less identifying.

newmummyy16 · 22/09/2016 10:28

My mum and stepdad are both inn their 40s and my mum had me when she was 24 and 21 when she had my sister.

newmummyy16 · 22/09/2016 16:42

I didn't personally mind if me name was my true one but I'm fine now with the name I have now as it tells people that I'm a new mum Smile

Horsegirl1 · 22/09/2016 16:44

So proud of you for breastfeeding . That's amazing. You should feel so proud that you're giving your beautiful daughter the best possible start . I was 19 when I had my first and couldn't breastfeed as felt to embarrass ( how silly of me ) but baby no3 &4 I exclusively fed till they were 18months Grin

Horsegirl1 · 22/09/2016 16:45

Oh and like you me and my now husband were together since school . We have been together 20 years this xmas. 😀
