Gave my three pigs a lovely bath today and put them out in the lawn run in the sunshine - the water was soooo dirty! Stinky pigs Grin

Awww Hobbit your boar looks the double of our GP3 , even down to the little floppy ears and pink nostrils Grin . GP3 was a Lemon Agouti Rex with dark red eyes in the right light .

twinguineapig · 11/04/2020 23:11

Our little pigs are 5 months old, we tend to bring the grass in for them rather than letting them go out. That said they first went out last week and were scared of the big green monster that was ready to leap out and attack them Hmm

TheHobbitMum · 11/04/2020 23:40

@70isaLimitNotaTarget piggy twins! He is a red eyed too in the right light. This is fatty watching TV with us Grin

He's going to join the girls when he's had his plums removed, he's going to be a very happy pig Grin

Grin picture 3 is a 100% Brush Off .
Did they pee on you without warning, just to push the message home ? Wink

UserDeleted · 12/04/2020 02:29

The one on the right did! Grin
Buts he's my baby (11 months) so I forgive him. The other one would never ever pee on me. Bite me and not let go, yes. Pee, no. 😆

Christmas Eve Photo (Traditional in our house Xmas Grin )

The girls ( Tricolour and Himalayan) are tolerating the hats because they know there are Christmas Veg Trimmings in the offing.

Lardy boar has gone into total Kevin the Teenager mode and turned his back on us ! Still got his hat on, he doesn't want to miss out on sprouts.

These photo took extreme skill - getting pigs to sit in a line and balance the little hats without hassling them. And not having a Hairy Trucker Hand in shot .

Thanks @70. They go out in a pet carrier and have several hideys with floors so only minimal grass eating done I think. Our grass is pretty short too. They are still a bit scared of being completely out and run from one hide to another.
They are an all boy brother trio that are just 3 months old so we're hoping they continue to get along as the teen hormones hit. Fingers crossed it's all good so far.

twinguineapig · 13/04/2020 16:11

Our brothers are a couple of months old than yours Rainbow, they will stand up tall and rumble at each other but they don't have fur flying fights. It's more dominance, one will stop the other going up the tunnel to up/downstairs and they are both very protective of their elderly friend.

twinguineapig · 13/04/2020 16:17

Mine weren't in a photo mood either but here are twin gps and elderly boat.

Elderly boar is the one with the apple, twin gps are the black one and the blonde doormat.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/04/2020 17:14

Aww he looks like a little cavy Boris Johnson Blush
Their colourways really blend well :black through black/fawn to fawn/gold/white .
I love seeing guinea-pigs up to their ears in hay .

I wanted to call GP3 Boris ( he's the Lardy in the Christmas picture) ...not after BoJo but after the male pig in the Olga Da Polga books .

The Rescue popped him in with GP1 (he was 6 weeks old and tiny) . GP1 heartily approved . DD decided he was called Dylan.....which got shortened to "Dill" . I had no say , I just got to sign the papers and pay for him Grin

twinguineapig · 13/04/2020 17:29

We did (briefly) discuss calling them Boris and Jeremy because we got them at general election time Grin I was overruled.

twinguineapig · 13/04/2020 17:38

Elderly boar has rallied, here he is asking to be picked up.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/04/2020 17:41

We got GP3 in 2013 , our GP2 died the day Andy Murray won Wimbledon. ( Drove miles to the vet in a heatwave then GP2 died that evening )

Boris Johnson would've been Mayor of London then ........ I think having to explain every time "No he's not named after the Mayor would've got too much "
I liked Dhillon , DD picked Dylan .

I was over-ruled with GP6 too, I liked Malcolm !

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/04/2020 17:42

Ooh he's asking for attention there , good sign . Or he might be saying "Mum, Mum rescue me he's biting my bum!"

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/04/2020 17:49

I only got to name my two sows , even GP2 (who was DS then I reclaimed him because DS was a rubbish PigDad) kept his name DS gave him.

I didn't get to name either of the cats either !

twinguineapig · 13/04/2020 18:00

Haha, yes, could have been either but it was wanting to be picked up - or more likely hoping for dandelions as none have been delivered today Shock

twinguineapig · 13/04/2020 18:30

Acceptable food service has been restored Grin

Our lawn is covered in yellow dandelion flowers Grin Those piggies worked very hard in years gone by fertilising the soil.

DH has to go out a physically mow now , not just leave it to the rodents .

One year we went away in Summer , pigs went to boarding . When they came home the grass in the run was higher than their ears , they were like tiny lions exploring Grin

Guineapigbridge · 26/04/2020 23:43

Daffodil loving all these cute piggies Daffodil

AmelieTaylor · 04/05/2020 22:02

No piggies had any fun these past couple of weeks?!

Novia · 07/05/2020 21:42

My piggies are over their ringworm and getting more confident. They demand food even more loudly than the kids! Grin❤️

@Novia

Thank you! I'm glad they're better! They are absolutely gorgeous! 💕

Have you tried them with fresh mint?

Mine used to go absolutely mad as soon as they could smell it. Fabulous to encourage a bit of popcorning
