Unwanted Hamster

Bit of a problem! I have a hamster who's becoming a bit of liability(!) and I was talking to a friend of mine of said they had a rabbit they had lost interest, so they solved it, cleverly I think, by talking it to an urban farm and quietly putting among the sheep and leaving the sheep to look after it :) I'm sure he's enjoying the company! Do you think I should do the same with my hamster? Really would appreciate the help as I'm stuck on what to do.....

I suspect it may well be a "joke" of some sort.

Makes me very sad when I read posts like this. I can't believe someone would abandon an animal. I adopted a cat whose family had moved house and just left him there. Terribly sad. He was no trouble whatsoever and a really lovely cat.

Take half an hour to find your hamster a new home. Someone out there will be glad to take him in.

Half term innit!

I've decided to take it to pets at home! I'm sure someone will love him like I did

Don't get another pet, ever.

Spudvic - you are doing the right thing, i know it will be hard to part with a much loved pet, but its for the best. Don't worry if you become overwhelmed with grief in the middle of petworld, they will understand that you cannot possibly keep such a liability, its just too much. It takes a very special person indeed to be able to cope with animals such as hamsters, its not your fault - you tried.

oh, and what goblin granny said
