Like them/it for beachwear... Very handy!

dexter73 · 23/06/2010 20:49

I have never seen one of those before!

BendyBob · 23/06/2010 20:51

I've read about these. They look very handy don't they? I haven't seen one in action though.

Maryqueenofchocs · 23/06/2010 20:52

it's £25 quid, and it just looks like a sarong....not sure whether it's a rip off or great engineering!

SoupDragon · 23/06/2010 20:55

Look at the back view though. I think it looks odd.

brimfull · 26/06/2010 23:44

update:
they came..they have been returned.
Don't know if it's my large norks or not but looked shite, fabric horrible .

thereistheball · 27/06/2010 09:29

ggirl - I thought they might be quite good with big tits. No? (I am 32HH so always looking for things that fit but don't emphasise, iyswim)

Can't say I love the designs though.

brimfull · 27/06/2010 09:34

not with my tits anyway
I was put off by the material so didn't persevere witht he titis too much.
Didn't hang properly because of tits iykwim.Tits pushed the material out too much so gaping at the armpits.
All in all looked cheap and nasty. Photos look much better than in rl .

lolabug · 27/06/2010 09:54

ggirl, thanks for update, I was really tempted, but I didn't like patterns, only black and I was worried it might be cheap and nasty material. I expect as they are first to market they are charging an extortionate amount for something that costs £2 to make in the far east.

Lets hope someone else picks the idea up and makes a better quality version for £20 - M&S are you listening???!!!!

Maryqueenofchocs · 27/06/2010 09:56

Ahhhh, my gut feeling was correct then! Boo hiss though, looked so promising......will have to take bin liner to beach instead to cover up with.

AnyFuleKno · 27/06/2010 10:04

This would be so easy to make for yourself!

Maryqueenofchocs · 27/06/2010 11:01

uumm keep going Any....am mop handed with a needle and thread but could take instruction?

OP posts:
thereistheball · 27/06/2010 16:56

Thanks ggirl. I think you can see the fabric isn't very nice in the photos. Still think it's a good idea though - if I weren't so cack-handed with a needle I'd have a go myself.

Muminlaw · 28/06/2010 10:03

I think they're really good and handy for the beach. I did some investigating before buying mine and the Saress is design registered so no M&S copies versions ggirl. what i find more annoying is the price of my sons england football shirt, that costs about 50 pence to make!!

ruffletheanimal · 28/06/2010 11:08

i bought one of these ages ago
black one
tis cheap shit fabric
i have never used it.
might stick in the 'to sell on ebay' drawer...

BendyBob · 29/06/2010 09:42

My mum gave me one of these yesterday. She bought it but couldn't get on with it.

I was all excited, but oh dear - agree completely with ggirl. These are not good.

How they can justify the price is beyond me. The material is not nice. I have to say it looked ok-ish from the front on me but the back was very very strange. All baggy with lots of material hanging down. It made me look enormous from behind. I was trying to find another way of tying it together to improve how it looked, but just ended up in knots.

I don't think it's for me either.

ShinyAndNew · 29/06/2010 09:45

Would they be better if they were made with better material? I was wanting one of these, but if they are shit I won't bother. My nan, however, is wicked with a sewing machine

BendyBob · 29/06/2010 09:52

For me the problem was how it looked at the back.

Front was ok for me, but in order to do that 'cross-over arm loop' thingy, you end up with lots of baggy material hanging off very low at the back.

I think a sarong tied at the front or side looks neater.

jobeauty · 01/07/2010 15:18
