I have just made my first ever Vivienne Westwood purchases - am still floating!

Having loved Vivienne Westwood for years and never having dared to even try anything on, today I bought not one but two items! The woman is a genius! They look like nothing on the hangers, then you put them on and suddenly look two sizes smaller AND taller!

I bought this in black - or if not this then something v v similar. Dp VERY impressed with this one!

And a Red Label skirt with hitching up one side - I think this is it.

I am totally in love!

Apologies for all the !!! but I normally restrict my buys to Gap and M&S so this is very exciting for me.

Good idea. Love those boots too.

They both look beautiful and I can totally imagine you in them, I think you'll look great.

I'm tempted to try something on myself having read your thread.

Netaporter sale starts tomorrow and am sure some of there anglomania stuff will be in the sale.

Fleecy · 20/06/2010 08:54

WOuldn't that be good tracey

I like those boots too janeite

ninah · 20/06/2010 08:55

they are lovely I am particularly about the skirt

dinkystinky · 20/06/2010 08:57

I have that red dress and love it - I wear it with either red high heels and a small red and black clutch bag or with black and gold heels and a black bag. Tis v flattering but if you have a belly spanx are a good idea with it.

dinkystinky · 20/06/2010 08:59

Sorry - I have the dress in red - just remembered you have it black. Spanx, black or gold (or black and gold) and high heels will work brilliantly with the dress in black.

janeite · 20/06/2010 16:04

Thanks all. I have been and bought high black sandals today (only Clarks, as I still need to be able to walk!) plus very high waisted control pants. I think it looks okay - dp says it does.

Sounds lovely (all the dresses on this thread are!)

TOTALLY worth it at £100.

Will have to look at the sale myself tomorrow.

Fleecy · 20/06/2010 16:38

I like the sound of the dress with a denim jacket - good call.

Yes,it's a very womanly, curvy dress. Gorgeous!

janeite · 20/06/2010 16:39

Thank you.

I also have a black blazer with purple lining but I thought more black might be a bit much.

OP posts:
jamaisjedors · 20/06/2010 16:41

Denim would be nice I think.

janeite · 20/06/2010 16:43

Thanks.

pointydog · 20/06/2010 16:53

oh that red dress is gorgeous

SuzanneVaguer · 20/06/2010 21:48

tracey - do you know if there's a special web address for netaporter, or if it's just through the main site?
Isn't it usually rammed (ie servers go down)?

janeite · 20/06/2010 22:06

I have put a couple of pics on my profile for a v short time only. Please, please try to be kind if you do have a look. Hair not done and no make up on - do I look fat and horrible? Scrap that - please reassure me, if you possibly can.

domesticslattern · 20/06/2010 22:17

That dress is a triumph janeite. It looks v. flattering indeed, especially when you wear it without the jacket. Looks like it would take well to being blinged up too with the big ring etc. you mention.

janeite · 20/06/2010 22:18

Really? Thank you SO much. I feel very exposed - haven't worn anything that fitted since before dd1 was born - and she is now 15!

OP posts:
Fleecy · 20/06/2010 22:23

janeite love it! You look fab - dress fits beautifully and the shoes are lovely with it (and you have very good legs).

janeite · 20/06/2010 22:25

Thank you so much Fleecy. My ankles and wrists are the only bits I've got left that are still thin - so I sometimes feel like a big round ball with spindly little arms and legs.

Do the shoes look tarty? Scared.

OP posts:
Fleecy · 20/06/2010 22:35

Not a bit - I think they go perfectly. On trend without being OTT.

What do your girls think?

janeite · 20/06/2010 22:37

Thanks.

DD1 loves it (and wants to steal it). DD2 has no interest in clothes whatsoever but says it looks nicer than the one I bought in M&S a couple of weeks ago!

OP posts:
SuzanneVaguer · 20/06/2010 22:55

Oh- it looks fantastic

Do not let DD1 near!

janeite · 20/06/2010 22:58

Thanks Suzanne - love your name btw.

Fleecy - have just looked at your pic - you are sooo young and soooo glam.
