foureleven · 06/06/2010 15:11

Dp and I had a discussion about why there are so many badly dressed men on the streets... most I have seen out this weekend have a severe beige problem along with a fixation on dressing like their children...

cyb · 06/06/2010 15:13

MamaG · 06/06/2010 15:15

DH and I call such men "asda dad"

HairyCanary · 06/06/2010 15:15

3/4s have to be better than these

cyb · 06/06/2010 15:16

Oh love it!

OP posts:
HairyCanary · 06/06/2010 15:16

and who on earth came up with the term 'carrot fit' ???

foureleven · 06/06/2010 15:17

haha liking ASDADAD. We usually compete to call out 'Beige problem' quicker than the other one... Not in earshot of the poor chap in question though... that would be mean!

ooh lets list 'asda dad' essentials; i'll start..

Crocs.

cyb · 06/06/2010 15:20

these sorts of shoes

OP posts:
foureleven · 06/06/2010 15:24

HAHAHAHHAHAHA cyb piss myself laughing. When i wrote crocs I kind of thought this type of shoe was more fitting but didnt know what they were called... how funny.

JulesJules · 06/06/2010 15:25

arf at "Asda Dad"

Saw about 4 men dressed like this in Sainsbos this morning. Some of the shorts were in vile plaid type patterns. Worn with "deck shoes"

DH had a good laugh at those elasticated beige things with the flipflops. (He is wearing cut off jeans)

coderrooo · 06/06/2010 15:32

any cut off trousers are shti on men
sory

TheFallenMadonna · 06/06/2010 15:37

Footwear hardest for men in hot weather I think.

cyb · 06/06/2010 15:57

yes ahve seen a great many skinny men feet in flip flops. and the teenagers are wearing thsoe baggy tea cosy hats, long shorts and flip flops.

whats THAT all about?

OP posts:
beanlet · 06/06/2010 16:00

No. My DH only ever wears summer-weight full-length trousers. He doesn't even wear shorts. I'm so relieved I will never have to disown him in public.

TheFallenMadonna · 06/06/2010 16:02

Awww - teenagers have to be exempt from any wardrobe tut-tutting though. They're supposed to look daft.

TheFallenMadonna · 06/06/2010 16:02

What does he wear on his feet though beanlet?

deaddei · 06/06/2010 16:07

It's the way non sporty men wear sporty footwear that gets me.
And are they 3/4 trousers- or men with short legs wearing long shorts?

cyb- probably come from the Cambridge Estate

cyb · 06/06/2010 16:08

my dh has just bought (OK I bought him) some cool checked long shorts from h and M

just need to sort his shoes out now

OP posts:
cyb · 06/06/2010 16:08
