God yes, the bus stop by Primark is interesting.
In fact all that area is.
I personally prefer the river end

A fair few aging men wearing crisply ironed shorts, long sleeved white shirt, black socks and black lace up shoes -round here.
We are obviously very middle class in these parts

I'm even worse with male fashion than I am with female so what should an adult male wear in the hot weather?

SixtyFootDoll · 06/06/2010 16:31

I hate those trousers that can either be full length or 'rolled up' to a crop

NAff as

beanlet · 06/06/2010 16:40

Depends on what he's doing leather sandals around the house/on the beach; light italian leather shoes (hard to describe breathable, with holes in the top like they're woven) if in town.

But then, I think my DH is a sex god

beanlet · 06/06/2010 16:42

Oh -- and he's a Yorkshireman to the bone marrow, and calls himself working class.

coderrooo · 06/06/2010 16:42

Yy, my dh sehr gut in kurze hose

brimfull · 06/06/2010 16:43

oliver twist extras

I would divorce dh if he wore cropped trousers

BarefootShirl · 06/06/2010 16:49

Have to admit DH does wear the beige cropped trousers and flip flops - I think he still believes he's 18 . But then maybe I should look in the mirror before commenting on his dress sense

boogeek · 06/06/2010 16:57

Oh God my DH loves those pub/asda shoes! Hates anything that requires feet on show so no sandals no flipflops. I despair.

deaddei · 06/06/2010 17:13

Imarriedafrog- yes a nice pale sweater with a Pringle logo is de rigeur round here.

DH's golf club is so hot on regs- he was "told off" yesterday as his socks weren't the required height.
He ages about 40 years when he goes there.

Lauriefairycake · 06/06/2010 17:17

Is it worse than the blue linen trousers and stripy cotton shirt (both Boden) that I bought dh (on separate occasions)

he walked downstairs for our date on Thursday wearing them and muttering "not quite sure why lfc wants me to look like a twat".

And he did look a tad twattish

I sent him back upstairs with instructions not to wear them together.

He wear 3/4 shorts thingies all summer but since he's a runner and has great legs I'm happy (and he wears them with sandally things)

SixtyFootDoll · 06/06/2010 17:49

Sniggers at LFC's DH looking like a twat!
My DH wanyed to gou wearng a green stripe t shurt with brigth green swimming shorts.

He has no dress sense whatsover

Saltire · 06/06/2010 18:00

DH has great legs due to playing rugby, but I drew the line at him going to tesco in his rugby shorts.

hmmSleep · 06/06/2010 18:12

I like cropped trousers, 3/4 length shorts and flip flops .

deaddei · 06/06/2010 18:13

It's men at the airport before they go on holidays, in pristine trainers which have never seen astroturf and poloshirts which still have the creases in.

This could become judgy so I will stop there

elsiepiddock · 06/06/2010 20:44

My dh looks good in them. No really.

We went out for a pub lunch the other day, sat in garden. Dh wearing khaki-ish 3/4 lenghts, white polo shirt, birkenstocks.

Bloke on next table wearing exactly the same thing. Arf.

hmc · 06/06/2010 20:51

As long as they leave their shirts on and don't reveal vast acres of white hairy pimpley flesh, then I don't mind really
