heavily pregnant at a wedding!

I know its been done before, but I've spent the afternoon trawling the net and I'm stuck! Its quite a posh wedding, I'll be 8 months pregnant. I'm on a budget too. I was a size 16 before pregnancy, but might need an 18 now, not sure.

I did find a green floral maxi on next, but of course it wasn't available in my size.

Help please!

Thanks tethersend, the first one is is lovely, but not available in my size!

Need to wear a bra, so don't think halterneck would work.

Been through the site for the third one and love them, but definately above budget! Also not sure I would fit in them?

Not so keen on last two, not sure they would be flattering on bigger droopy chest.

Thanks though. My problem is there are one or two that I like a lot, but they are £100 plus, which is just too much for a dress that I won't wear again. Do you think I could get away with a non-maternity maxi? I'm pretty huge.

For your own sanity I would suggest a T-shirt saying

"Next month.
No, it hasn't been pleasant in this heat.
Yes, we're sure it's not twins.
My son will be [whatever age]
Yes, I will have my hands full."

I have a reasonably nice large size 16 JoJo Maman Bebe purple maternity evening dress I could lend you if you liked, although IIRC it's only just below the knee/mid-calf.

Bollocks, sorry about the asos one...

How do you feel about this one?

tethersend · 23/05/2010 20:09

Fuckcakes.

That's out of stock in your size too. Ignore. I will keep trying...

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 23/05/2010 20:11

I had an Isabella Oliver wrap dress for a wedding I went to at 7 1/2 month pregnant.

I bought it off e-bay for £25 and sold it for £62

It was vey comfy and easy to accessorise to dress it up a bit. I wore it with wedge sandals as I couldn't manage real heels by then!

Grandhighpoohba · 23/05/2010 20:14

Professor, love the tshirt plan, may get it made into a selection of flashcards! Thanks too for the offer of the dress, but I'm fairly sure a 16 won't cut it anymore. [sob]

Wine, thanks for trying Can't afford anything from that site anyway!

Tether, that looks very promising, in budget and dress-upable. Never thought to look at Mothercare.

Grandhighpoohba · 23/05/2010 20:16

not sure about the colours on that one tether, I'm a pale skinned redhead, mustard yellow not good on me, and I cannot wear fake tan, as it looks awful on me.
