purely pie in the sky at the mo, but dh and i have a child-free wedding to attend in the autumn. Ive bought a fab 20's/flapper style burgandy and black hat in the debenhams sale (only a fiver - bargain!) and thought of teaming it with this this or this i am 5'2" and a size 8 with no hips but generous norkage and rubbish legs. I would team with burgandy shoes and bag.

ahem?

QueenJadis · 09/05/2010 20:05

theyre not that bad are they?

Honestly ?? I'm not keen on the first one. I like the 2nd and 3rd but am not sure they're very weddingy ? The 2nd one is the best and is a lovely dress but I would be inclined to "lift" it by lighter accessories and not burgundy (cream, white or bright colours)

at size 8 and norks though

Tillyscoutsmum · 09/05/2010 21:31

Sorry - meant to say, I don't think there is a problem with black at a wedding per se. I am wearing a black dress to a wedding next month

QueenJadis · 10/05/2010 07:25

thank you. its not a very weddingy wedding iykwim, the wedding breakfast is at a mongolian restaurant without the traditional stuff. Ive been looking for a burgandy/claret wrap style dress to wear, but there are none about.

ps, norks are a burden not a blessing. if im not careful i look like jordan's ugly sister.

Well then if you are worried about cleavage don't go for the low cut one (number 2?) I can't see number one.

QueenJadis · 10/05/2010 10:03

number one i like wrap-style dresses as they balance out my shape and give the illusion of a bum/hips

tethersend · 10/05/2010 11:02

Burgundy wrap
