Are Fascinators really naff ??

I have finally found a dress for my best friend's wedding which doesn't make me look like the flabby post natal blob that I actually am but it is completely black. I don't have a major problem with wearing black but would like to brighten it up with accessories.

I was thinking possibly hot pink accessories and have seen a lovely pink and black fascinator. Are they a total no no ??

Oooh shhhh I like those cherry chau ones! Where do you buy them from?

shhhh · 01/05/2010 18:27

cherry chau ones are bought from selfridges.
I paid around £30 iir for mine for next weeks wedding and imo hey are better than the headband/hat type from m&s etc.

Much more glam and subtle.

Prices vary though..beware though..if you are into sparkle then you may never leave cherry chau empty handed .

I have spent a small fortune there over the years .

Fascinators to me mean old fashion, simples. Leave that to aunties and nans.

The rahs are still wearing them so not necessarily common... Kate I quite like them, think they look like you've made an effort!

Hats don't suit me.

I have shoulder length straight black hair. The only thing I can wear on my head that is not ridiculous is a black contemporary fascinator. It goes with any colour outfit because it matches and blends into the colour of my hair.

I get unsolicited compliments just trying it on in the shop. Saves my life at English weddings.
