I couldnt find anything to go with that skirt I bought from Coast.
After some serious shop trudging, dh admitted defeat and said to take it back and swap for a dress, of which there were lots.
So dh picked out this dress (WTF??) and I didnt think much of it, but when it was on I looked and felt fab.

I LOVE IT

Oh that is lovely - just my sort of thing.

Is it for anything special?

squeaver · 19/04/2010 16:20

Oh that is nice. Do you have a lovely glowy tan to accessorise it?

M32song · 19/04/2010 16:22

i'd have red wine down that before you can say 'vino collapso' but it is v. dainty.

higgle · 19/04/2010 16:22

Yes, it certainly is one of those "Je ne sais quoi" dresses - and when you find one you feel so clever to have spotted the potential and so smug when you turn up at the event looking tastefully wonderful when everyone else is dressed like ladies day at Aintree. Clever you!

meatntattypie · 19/04/2010 16:22

price....WOW is it for a wedding or something special?

PortBlacksandDweller · 19/04/2010 16:22

Ditto M32song...

It is gorgeous...um - is it for a wedding?

mosschops30 · 19/04/2010 16:23

Its for my friends wedding this weekend and I am starting the St. Tropez everyday tanning tonight
I thought I could also wear it for ds2's baptism as is high at the neck and comes to just above the knee.
Not my sort of thing usually but looks really classy and Ive got lots of fab shoes to mix and match it with.

Im totally in love with it, how sad am I

tracey - quick hijack - was it you that bought the grey crinkle leather jacket from New Look?

SandyToksvig · 19/04/2010 17:34

Oh, it's lovely mosschops... it wouldn't suit me but I still think it is gorgeous..

MumInBeds · 19/04/2010 17:38

It looks lovely.

Have you checked with your friend if she will mind you wearing white?

traceybath · 19/04/2010 17:42

Geordie - yeap I bought the black one and love it.

Bella - we're style twins I think .

geordieminx · 19/04/2010 17:44

I've just got the grey one for £16.20. What do you wear it with?

bellavita · 19/04/2010 18:01

mosschops30 · 19/04/2010 18:10

tulpe · 19/04/2010 18:29

mosschops30 - gorgeous, gorgeous dress I wouldn't have thought your friend would mind you wearing it to her wedding as presumably you won't be accessorising with a veil and bouquet??

What shoes/bag/jacket/wrap are you wearing with it?

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 19/04/2010 18:31

It is a lovely dress but it might need a coloured jacket/other accessories to make it less white.

mosschops30 · 19/04/2010 18:33

thanks tulp i was panicking then

I havent got a wrap, maybe I should get one, any ideas where I can get a nice one cheap?
Im wearing fabulous black shoes, or I have some navy red and white shoes that I havent worn yet.
Ive got a fascinator thingy, a chunky necklace and a matching ring

traceybath · 19/04/2010 18:40

Geordie - I've worn mine with loads of stuff, dresses, rolled up jeans/chinos . . .

minibmw2010 · 19/04/2010 19:59

It is beautiful but it looks really really white ... which is kind of inappropriate (in my opinion) for a wedding? I'm sorry, just my thought ..

traceybath · 19/04/2010 20:02

As long as your friend is going to be in the traditional full length dress - you'll be fine.

minibmw2010 · 19/04/2010 20:04

It is beautiful and so long as you accessorise with colour then I'm sure it'll look amazing on the day.
