Crocs ARE wrong on anyone over eight, right?

getthewineinthefridge · 17/04/2010 19:48

Not great on the under 8's either (though both my DC's are permanently attached to theirs) but no reason that any adult should wear them is there?? Worrying numbers being seen now this nice-ish weather has decsended...

I have mine on at the moment, have been wondering in and out of the garden.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 17/04/2010 19:49

yy

crocs on kids = cute

otherwise crocs = VILE but comfy

rainbowinthesky · 17/04/2010 19:49

I love mine and wear them all the time even when not camping...

foureleven · 17/04/2010 19:51

I once saw a family of crocs.. mummy, daddy son and daughter all crocced up.

I was sick on their feet. Ok, I wasn't. But I wanted to be.

You are kind of forgiven for wearing them in the garden or as house shoes but not 100%...

bubbles4 · 17/04/2010 19:51

I wear mine as slippers now, they are so comfy but they are ugly shoes.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 17/04/2010 19:52

lol at sick on their feet

gingertoo · 17/04/2010 19:55

Great for camping.
Great for slipping your feet into when nipping out to put the washing out / empty the bins etc.
Otherwise no...

tethersend · 17/04/2010 19:56

Crocs are the work of the devil and were definitely invented to disguise a cloven hoof.

Probably.

Exogenesis · 17/04/2010 20:02

The prison issue shoes at work are crocs ~(cheap knock off version)

hmm, maybe for under 10s - dd is 6 & just runs around in hers all the time & she can put them on so easily, can't see that changing in the next 18 months, so up the age limit, allow exemptions for people with special needs, impose a small fine on anyone wearing them for practical stuff (camping, in the garden etc), but anyone else, CALL THE FASHION POLICE

Chrysanthamum · 17/04/2010 20:24

I luv me pink crocs and don't care who dislikes them but please dont puke on them!

fluffles · 17/04/2010 20:27

gardening, beach and camping only IMO.

mangoandlime · 17/04/2010 20:29

If you have to wear them, make sure they're the real deal. No moc crocs. I used to like them but have really gone off them now.

They look cute on my DCs though.

KurriKurri · 17/04/2010 20:31

I wear mine with pride, they are comfy, I don't care what they look like.

Rockbird · 17/04/2010 20:31

Crocs should only be worn on the under 6s (if they must) and people in the privacy of their own home, as outdoor slippers to go outside for a fag or hang the washing out. But only if they are not overlooked by the neighbours and no innocent people will suffer.

schroeder · 17/04/2010 20:43

I agree mine are for in the house/garden only, I have plantar faciitus and they are a godsend.
But out in public definitely wrong.

LovingMyNewLife · 17/04/2010 20:49

Crocs should be banned full stop.

XH brought DD (2) home in some today XMIL had bought them. Worse still they were cheap fake ones, a size too small

I wasn't impressed to say the least.

LauraIngallsWilder · 17/04/2010 20:49

I love my mock crocs - for wearing in the kitchen and out in the garden etc

I cant understand why anyone would bother with the real deal though - why spend £20 on shoes for hanging out the washing, that everyone thinks are fugly

My mock crocs cost £3 and are no different to the real thing

whifflegarden · 17/04/2010 20:52

what about for school run - verdict?

wubblybubbly · 17/04/2010 20:55

Might be ugly shoes but at least they don't give you ugly feet.

Rubbish for gardening though, all those holes, looks like I could grow taties between my toes after a bit of weeding.

LauraIngallsWilder · 17/04/2010 20:56

Whiffle - only if you would choose to wear fluffy pink slippers.................

Otherwise NO

mangoandlime · 17/04/2010 20:59

Wearing them on the school run like wearing your pyjamas.

Exogenesis · 17/04/2010 21:03

worse than pyjamas...

Alouiseg · 17/04/2010 21:07

The perfect indoor/outdoor slipper.
