Birkies with socks?

Ok or not? I crave the comfort but I am concerned that this is possibly a giant fashion faux-pas.

Oh I'm dreading us getting snow again (Yorkshire). I've even booked additional holiday so I don't feel guilty about not going out in it!

You can't possibly shop at Toast - they're clothes look soooo drab in the catalogue. Not the kind of thing for a girl with the chutzpah to do socks and sandals!

This is what I was thinking

BelleDameSansMerci · 30/03/2010 13:04

LOL!! I'm horrified...

BelleDameSansMerci · 30/03/2010 13:08

So long as you avoid this

AnyFucker · 30/03/2010 13:28

arrggghhh...my eyes

Spidermama · 30/03/2010 13:29

Aaaaarrghhhhhh! Belledame.
I wish I had never clicked.

But Belle, they're fake birks, I'm sure. OP - birks with everything. You'd enjoy that gala first night far more with Birks rather than Jimmy Choos.

Spidermama · 30/03/2010 13:41

I live in the muesli belt and I would say you can certainly wear birkies and socks as long as you are also sporting dreads and a cape with a pointy hood.

Wiggletastic · 30/03/2010 14:07

Belle, you are correct, that is just wrong! I assure you I have much nicer and more 'suitable' socks than those and non-fake birks of course!

Unfortunately, weather here has turned decidedly grim and I can't cope with cold, wet feet, so the boots are back on.
