scruffy and a bit crumpled but trying not to be

tulpe · 16/02/2010 15:01

I don't know that I have a set "look". I like to be individual but not "stand out" too much......or at least for all the right reasons

My wardrobe falls into 4 categories:

Toast-esque (wideleg trousers and tops, dresses & boots, lots of layering, scarves & beads/bangles)

Top Shop/All Saints-esque (skinny jeans, funky tunic tops)

Vintage 50's (floral dresses & skirts, twinsets)

Classic (MaxMara, Cacharel, Marc Jacobs for when I need to look like a proper grown up )

office wear during the week and jeans at weekends. I shouldn't really condense my wardrobe choices into such a short description, as DH would wonder why my wardrobe has so many items

frakkinaround · 16/02/2010 15:08

I don't have a signature style. I'm a chameleon.

tethersend · 16/02/2010 18:03

70s slattern.

Think Margot from the Good Life after a night on the sauce.

plus3 · 16/02/2010 18:27

I would love a signature style..(sigh) Most days I am found in jeans with converse or flat boots from Hobbs. Top half is the jersey shirt from (whispers...Boden) I don't think I've really grown up from being at university.

I always wear a scarf with a coat...does that count?

Hmmm I don't follow fashion as such (but like to keep my finger in, so to speak) I wear mainly quite plain stuff but with one thing that stands out, like a necklace or a pair of shoes or coat. I do like accessories

MaineGirl · 16/02/2010 19:29

feminine- only ever wear trousers to the gym. Day wear is dress, or skirt and jersey top. opaque tights and boots or chunky heeled shoes in the winter and ballet flats or 'funky' sandals in the summer.

even walking the dogs i wear a dress or skirt with my wellies and north face coat.

i love to accessorise with bracelets and scarves with my coat and brightly coloured bags.

i really hate wearing jeans or trousers and always have done even pre dc when i was a size 10

MayorNaze · 16/02/2010 19:30

yes...bright colours

always always several pairs of earrings

can do ncie shiny fashionable yummy mummy but always seem to screw it up somehow with too many rings, too many colours etc

I'd call my style urban classic. Usually neutral colours with a classic cut updated with a dramatic accessory. Usually in heels or ballerinas and always carry an Hermes bag.

AnyFucker · 16/02/2010 19:41

blimey...couldn't sum myself up in a few words

< thinks >

ok, smart casual about covers it

which says absolutely nothing at all

tethersend · 16/02/2010 20:03

But you will get into most nightclubs in and around the Stevenage area, AnyFucker, so not all bad...
