What is your favourite bubble bath?

I would like something that feels like a luxury but is reasonably priced (less than about 8 squid a bottle). Am currently using a Ted Baker one but it's a bit mediocre. I like the old lady-ish horse chestnutty one in the green bottle. Radox for whn I'm skint. Can anybody rec a mid-line one that feels 'special' please?

I like the look of these old fashioned-y ones

Or failing that Body Shop fruity smell ones are lovely

janeite · 13/02/2010 21:50

The Boots ones look nice - love the packaging.

Don't like the Body hop - reminds me of being a teenager and stinking of that purple stuff they used to do - and white musk.

How about a bit of fenjal? Thats nice

janeite · 13/02/2010 22:02

Is that the one in the pale blue bottles? Never tried that - will have a sniff!

yes its quite nice...sort of milky oily moisturisey rather than full on bubbly

janeite · 13/02/2010 22:16

Agh. Thanks. I want bubbles though!

Any more?

I like the Lush bubble bath bars. They really bubble up well (one third of a bar gives loads of bubbles) and smell delicious. My favourites are Amandopondo, French Kiss, Ma Bar (smells like toffee, mmmm) and occasionally Bathos.

They're a bit of a treat I suppose because you only get 3 or 4 baths out of them, but they only cost a few quid and they leave your skin feeling lovely and soft.

janeite · 13/02/2010 22:22

Thank you Cyteen. Lush stuff is too perfumed for me - a bit like the Body Shop I guess. It makes me sneeze! Would prefer something a bit more 'adult' but not at silly Molton brown prices.

Dove.

AuntieMaggie · 13/02/2010 22:28

I love the Avon ones - so yummy smelling!

janeite · 13/02/2010 22:30

Champneys one looks lovely - do they sell it in Sainsbo's? I am probably the only person in the world who cannot stand the smell of Dove.

cookielove · 13/02/2010 22:35

tattycoram · 13/02/2010 22:41

I was going to suggest Badedas (green bottle). Boots botanics stuff is nice. I second Champneys too

janeite · 13/02/2010 22:43

Ooh yes - I like Boots Botanics: had forgotten about that.

Crabtree & Evelyn jojoba oil - is completely and utterly lovely.

Not fruity, not floral, not nutty. Unique, subtle, gorgeous and serfisticated. Please try it .

janeite · 13/02/2010 22:45

That sounds nice too - is it expensive?

lol nothing fancy thiswww.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/Bath_And_Shower/Baylis_And_Harding_Mr_Men_and_Little_ MissBathAndShowerGel_1L.html
I love it because it smells like bubblegum lol

bibbitybobbityhat · 13/02/2010 22:51

I imagine its mid price range. I usually ask for it at Christmas . Day to day I make do with whatever's on offer at Sainsbos or the occasional splurge on a Body Shop one.

janeite · 13/02/2010 22:53

Just looked - 12.50. Tis an oil though - no bubbles?

OP posts:
bibbitybobbityhat · 13/02/2010 22:55

No, no, tis bubbles alright! Very bubbly. Jojoba oil is an ingredient.

G'wan, treat yourself.
