and i've only got a week to find it, and very little time for browsing It's for the launch of a book i've written so it's a very special occasion for me; however everyone else will be in boring work clothes. i want to stand out a bit (but nothing over the top) and i don't want to wear black. i searched Reiss, Coast and Karen Millen to no avail. i have no idea where else to look. I'm small, blonde and very flat chested but otherwise have a nice figure. anyone got any ideas where i can look? i live in london.

hmm that must be hard to fit such an odd shape

kissmummy · 19/01/2010 20:28

do i sound an odd shape? it is hard to find things that work for me as most things aren't designed for women with no boobs...

I hope Fred was joking !!!!!!!

PCPlumIsMyHomeboy · 19/01/2010 20:36

what colours do you like?

Do you have a budget in mind?

Is there a look you particularly like, or a celeb whose style you particulary admire?

FredAboutAFred · 19/01/2010 20:37

course i was

funny time of year though

Moneyspider · 19/01/2010 20:49

as jackieno suggested

kissmummy · 19/01/2010 20:59

i like any shade of blue, or silver, or lilac/grey or green. the dress is more important than the price but i wouldn't want to spend more than a £200 unless it was something really sensational that i could wear again and again. [not that i get out much...!]
i'm not at all snobby about labels but i like natural fabrics - cotton, silk etc. i like anything with a scoop neck, halter neck or ruched top as this detracts from my no boobs situation. am just having a look on asos - never seen it before and it certainly has loads of styles...

Romanarama · 19/01/2010 21:11

this sort of thing is good for no-boob people like us!

DrivenToDistraction · 19/01/2010 21:12

Love it or hate it. Bet it'd look fab!

Ronaldinhio · 19/01/2010 21:15

Moneyspider · 19/01/2010 21:20

blue phase eight

anusha

more floaty

if you're a 12

VerityBrulee · 19/01/2010 21:25

This is a really beautiful dress. I have it in red, and love it so much I will buy it in another colour when I've recovered from Christmas!

The fabric feels like silk, it drapes beautifully and is the spitting image of a Lanvin dress I lusted over online.

I highly recommend it

kissmummy · 19/01/2010 21:25

thanks everyone for all the fab ideas!
drivento love the Diane von Fustenburg's -that sort of colour is ideal. not sure i can do strapless very effectively.
hate the last one that you say love it or hate it to..!
rohandinhio not too keen on that one from coast!

Of course you can do strapless, just get a shrug (and the right bra)...

PCPlumIsMyHomeboy · 19/01/2010 21:30

Love this

If I had £200 I'd buy this

It can be worn loads of ways including a strapless cocktail style
