and i've only got a week to find it, and very little time for browsing It's for the launch of a book i've written so it's a very special occasion for me; however everyone else will be in boring work clothes. i want to stand out a bit (but nothing over the top) and i don't want to wear black. i searched Reiss, Coast and Karen Millen to no avail. i have no idea where else to look. I'm small, blonde and very flat chested but otherwise have a nice figure. anyone got any ideas where i can look? i live in london.

veritybrulee someone else (poppityping) has recommended the same dress! what length does it fall at on you? the website doesn't seem to give a measurement.

Well, I am 5'4" and forty and it looks great on me

If you are blond the oyster would look great on you I am deathly pale so couldn't do it.

It's a beauty, looks way more expensive than it really is.

VerityBrulee · 19/01/2010 21:38

It's about knee length, I'd try it on and tell you exactly but it's at the cleaners!

VerityBrulee · 19/01/2010 21:42

Kissmummy, there is one in oyster, size 10 on ebay at the moment for 120

Great taste Poppity

The All Saints dress Verity suggested is just beautiful and it, or somehing similar if you can't get it, would be perfect for your book launch.

Congratulations on your book, by the way!!

kissmummy · 19/01/2010 23:33

PoppityPing · 20/01/2010 10:28

Yes, congratulations!

DrivenToDistraction · 20/01/2010 15:24

Oh yes, that one is lovely!

Are you going for the oyster or the taupe? Personally I prefer the taupe...

CountessDracula · 20/01/2010 15:35

i have that all saints dress but in a sort of dark midnight blue shiny material it is divine!

CountessDracula · 20/01/2010 15:49

what size are you?

OllieWollieWoo · 20/01/2010 16:00

Are we allowed to ask what book it is? It must be so to get it published and have a swanky launch! Hope you love the All Saints dress - tis v nice!

DrivenToDistraction · 20/01/2010 16:10

Oooh, so the 'Midnight' is blue, rather than black (like I assumed)? Get that one! Bet it's stunning IRL

CountessDracula · 20/01/2010 16:18

well I will ahve to check the code on it, it looks black on there but mine is blue defo

They only had that and a silvery one when I was in there

traceybath · 20/01/2010 16:57

traceybath · 20/01/2010 16:59
