Do you wear makeup?

Just wondering really if you do or don't.

I wear it every day. Would not go out with out it.

Not that I'm a dog without it though
Just feel better with a bit of tinted moisturiser, bronzer, gloss and mascara and I can face the world.

surely not Tinker

Coddy=voice of reason

Tinker · 30/06/2005 12:59

I just look ill and pale and drawn without, featureless. With make-up, I have eyes and a mouth and don't look grey skinned.

Enid · 30/06/2005 12:59

would never dream of going bare faced at work.

Definitely makes you look more professional IMO.

northerner · 30/06/2005 13:00

I was just going to say taht Olive. Make up is not a disguise, you don't use it to hide your face. YOu use it to eccenuate (sp?!) your best bits.

never

oliveoil · 30/06/2005 13:02

obviously I don't need any whatsoever

wilbur · 30/06/2005 13:04

I definitely look a lot better with a bit of makeup, esp concealer and eyeshadow, lipstick not so much, so I do make an effort most of the time. Often forget tho and if I'm not doing anything in particular I don't bother. Forgot to put any one at a recent weekend away with in laws and got some pics back in which I looked almost dead!

northerner · 30/06/2005 13:08

Of course not olive.

You can over do it though. You know orange tide marks, stained lips and stripes of blusher. We have one of these at work.

Doves at Mcr Apollo. Turned down StatusQuo at the City Stadium tonight [wink}.

Is this makeup related?

oliveoil · 30/06/2005 13:14

eyes went funny

Listmaker · 30/06/2005 13:14

For me it's 2 reasons - 1 it's just part of my morning routine that I have done as long as I can remember. 2 I definitely look better with it on and even if I don't it makes me feel ready to face the world/confident etc.

I don't do it for anyone else.

I think that it's like dressing smartly for work it gives off a certain image that can do your career no harm. Makes you look professional etc.

suzywong · 30/06/2005 13:15

no not in the slightest
just interested

my last one was Feeder at the Garage in November 2002
Bloody hell fire!!!

I really really must get out more

oliveoil · 30/06/2005 13:17

I need to get out more too, but I go to bed at 10.30 and at The Doves I was yawning and wanting to sit down at 9.30pm.

suzywong · 30/06/2005 13:19

shocking isn't it

so back to makeup, do people still wear coloured eyeshadow these days, I mean grownup people like us?

Tinker · 30/06/2005 13:20
oliveoil · 30/06/2005 13:20

You do on the Mac counter in Kendals, but not normally no.

nailpolish · 30/06/2005 13:21

suzywong · 30/06/2005 13:21

Tinker · 30/06/2005 13:22

Phew. Yes, I do but not lurid colours.

Tinker · 30/06/2005 13:22

nailpolish · 30/06/2005 13:22

does anyone else have the pet hate of your hair sticking to your lipgloss, as soon as you walk in the tiniest little breath of air?

OHHHHH! i just hate it when that happens
