i had my first bra fitting since DS (8months ago) and am still traumatised by it!
to cut a very long story short the bra-witch refused to listen to me saying that the bra didn't feel like it fitted and i was clearly not the same size i was pre-PG.
she got shirty and told me that i had to always lift inside the bra and hoik my boobs up. (grab them and lift them into cleavage position)

WTF? is boob hoiking normal - have i been putting my bra on wrong for years????

Is it me or do the ladies of mumsnet have larger norks than the rest of the general population?

ImSoNotTelling · 28/11/2009 21:19

We're probably all BFing...

That's why mine are the size of planets.

Now that would make an interesting survey for someone - maybe the DM would like to get involved? All I can say is that I've been gi-bloody-normous since the age of 12 - I went from a trainer bra to an old lady whaleboned thing in what seemed to be five minutes ...

Was hoping that bfing dts might reduce them somewhat but am still an E cup!

Re pencil test - I could secrete the average contents of a pencil case let alone a measly pencil.

I've always hoiked or shaken John Lewis style (E) but now have no choice but to as now rather saggy after what seems like an eternity of pregnancy and breastfeeding!

UndomesticHousewife · 28/11/2009 23:23

I hoik all day, there's nothing worse than not hoiking and wearing a thin top - everyone can see how saggy yur breasts are cos your nipples are so low they are practically touching your waist.

I lean forward and hoik and adjust like SoupDragon.
And do quite a bit of wishful thinking (A)

I hoik. Always have, then the R&P woman told me to too so felt "right" about it.
