Am I too old for converse?

Have just bought some delicious black leather shoe types. they are lovely but DD has just told me I am too old for them

I'm not a glamorous city type gal. I'm a somewhat windswept country bumpkin and live in jeans.

A few of my friends have told me that their dads wear Converse and they must be in their 60s. My Grandfather told me he used to wear them for basketball and he's in his 80s now!

The youth of today, they don't know that Converse have been 'done' so many times already

ggirl - I have wide feet and I wear them. I have the suede ones though - don't know if they have a slightly different fit to the canvas ones.

I'm getting the stripey Blondie Converse when they are out in March. I'm 38 and i don't give two tosses!

It will hearten you to know that my 16 year old cousin, my 59 year old mother and 31 year old me all have identical pairs of white converse trainers.
