Am I too old for converse?

Have just bought some delicious black leather shoe types. they are lovely but DD has just told me I am too old for them

I'm not a glamorous city type gal. I'm a somewhat windswept country bumpkin and live in jeans.

I wondered if you'd see those...?

I'm 42 and only started wearing them 3 years ago

I will be 39 on Sunday and have been wearing Converse since I was 13. I currently have 2 pairs (red and white )on the go, and some brown leather PF Flyers (similar to Converse).
Maybe yoru daughter is to "old" for Converse?

Nope. I'm 36 and I've got about 10 pairs as I live in them. I particulary love my silver sequin pair!

My dad wears them and he's late 50's and looks rather cool.

you can be too old for converse but only when you are 163, so I think you are ok for a bit

Currently mine are out of action as Ds1 has gone out wearing one of his and one of mine and ruined them

If you want to wear something, and you like it and think it suits you, then it's fine! Regardless of how old you are.

I'm 50 and have a bright pink pair of fake Converses and a pair of real Converse baseball boots.

nope, i had purple ones when i was a teenager. just come back from theUS with a lovely pair of black sequinned ones. (i'm nearly 36)
