Where do you get your thin long sleeved tops for layering with?

I need several thin long sleeved tops, turtle necks, scoopnecks, v necks for layering, in funky colours and not jsut black and white.

Any ideas where to get? Seen a couple on Joe Browns but that's it really.

Primark for cheap n' cheerful, Top Shop have done v. thin long sleeve tops in the past, also Zara (in the rock chick bit not the frumpy office bit)

New Look & M & S. Used to get bits and bobs at Tesco but find they shrink, esp. length wise.

PutDown · 22/10/2009 16:11

I've got them from
Uniqlo
New Look
Topshop
Primark.

UNIQLO- got 2 long sleeve scoop neck for £11.99- and I'm a BODEN fan- so this was a real snip and they are great.

Also got their HEATEC top in a scoop neck for £9.99 which is great too- slightly thinner but slightly smoother - great.

I went to their store but they are doing free P&P on website if you spend £40+.

ByTheSea · 22/10/2009 18:21

I got some last year at Dorothy Perkins and am planning on picking up some more from there this year. They wash well and are very comfy and a good length and were cheap.

WoTmania · 22/10/2009 18:24

H & M

alittlebitshy · 22/10/2009 18:40

those m and s ones look nice.

tell me though what do you do when you do layering? I am so crap at clothes. I love the look of peoples' layered outfits but have no idea what to use to achieve it!

MacaroonIncident · 22/10/2009 18:41

decide if contrasting colours or toning ones suit you.
youll need maybe a long tank or swetaer to go on top.
check you can see the under shirt otherwise no point
make sure both hadv diffo lenghts in the body toi
look at models in shops, htey always later lOAdS to show off merchandise

EvilTwins · 22/10/2009 18:42

I get mine from White Stuff. Sometimes layer with their vests too.

MacaroonIncident · 22/10/2009 18:43

i find their vests too low cut

alittlebitshy · 22/10/2009 18:44

ok, cool that helps. I have taken to wearing a long vest thing under some fitted jumpers that are too small (not lost 15 mo ds weight ) so I can do it, if not brilliantly!

MacaroonIncident · 22/10/2009 18:46

yes
look carefully at your nekline and what suits.
i find toning colours suit me best. had my" colours done" under duress and tbh its ben really helpful.
