How much do you spend on hair & beauty treatments a year?

I just started to think about this today (decided to pluck my own eyebrows instead of regular wax because I am pretty much skint after too much clothes shopping!). I am not certain I dare even add all mine up but how much do you spend each year in total on:

hair (cuts & colours):
waxing:
facials:
make up:

Not telling!

More than I should would be my ballpark figure.

Hair is my downfall. I have short colour which gets cut about every 6 weeks and coloured every 3 months or so. Might be every 4 months.

Hair cut is about £200 a year. Colour is about £60 a time although cheaper in November. Probably about £400 a year on hair.

Don't do waxing (apart from eyebrows about once every 2 years or so)

Don't have facials.

Makeup I spend maybe £20 a year. Probably less.

Think I need to either grow my hair or find somewhere cheaper.

The short colour should obviously have been short hair.

If I told you you'd probably faint (or I would).

Probably less than £100 a year on all of those! I am quite high maintenance though but just have to do it myself these days, being poorer than I used to be.
Waxing/hair stuff would just do at home. I prefer to spend money on wine than the hairdresser these days
facials - hate them anyway.
I maybe have one pedicure a year at the beginning of summer.
Make up would be the one thing I couldn't give up but good products last me quite a long time - a good tinted moisturiser (bobby brown/estee lauder) would last six months, ditto Chanel bronzer. Mascara/nail varnish I just buy cheapish now.My downfall is lipstick/balm/gloss, which I go through at a rate of knots, and I hate cheap ones as colour/texture never right.

Makeup - about £15 (good concealer and a few cheap bits)
hair ... er. When I do get it cut I spend about £30 but I very very rarely get it cut.

I do remove hair as well. Have an epilator I got last year for about £25. And probably spend about £20 a year on depilatory cream. I borrow DH's razor for armpit hair removal.

I spend around £650-£700 a year on hair as I need it coloured (I went grey prematurely) monthly and I've found that dying my hair at home seemed to damage my hair more than having it done professionally.
I don't have facials, manicures etc.
I probably spend around £50-£80 a year on make-up.

700 on hair and 600 on massage

About £500 on hair and £500 on treatments (and 4 days at a spa = £800)
Makeup- about £200

riven - i always think treatments would be like a hot bath . i love the idea of htem but dull as fuck to sit in.

hair - £5 for a cut about every 6 weeks, plus home colour about £5 maybe every 2/3 months. So £75ish.

nothing on anything else, epilate, don't have facials or treatments and don't wear make-up.

i spend £50 month on my hair i cannot afford that but i do not want to go Grey yet

hair - about £50/cut but only once a year = £50
dye - maybe once every 3 months, but not drastically different from my roots now so doesn't show too badly. use 2 packs a time so £10 = £40
razor blades - about £12 every 4 months = £36
makeup - maybe a nail varnish, a couple of shadows, a prebase/mascara every 6 months = £50

grand total = £176
but i look a million feckin dollars :P

£260 a year on haircuts
£60 a year on waxing
£0 on facials
£10ish on make up (very rare purchase, if at all)

Riven - you should go for it, it'll make you feel amazing. Just pick a hairdressers that doesn't look pretentious.

Or find a local mobile hairdresser if you really don't feel up to it?

Honestly, you'll come out feeling fantastic.

get a recommendation from a friend riven. i think getting your hair cut can be incredibly risky and plenty of times (when i've strayed from tried and trusted hairdressers) i've come out feeling anything but fantastic. (and i'm far from precious about my hair it's been every colour under the sun and i was a vidal sassoon model in my younger days)

£600 on hair ( cut every 6 weeks, high and lowlights every third visit) nothing on facials and hair removal, probably about £200 on make up. - Riven are you in Bristol?
Sarah at Paul Stein in Park Street has cut my hair for 18 years, she is very nice and friendly (as is the whole place) and as a very talented Bristol mother of two would give you a great haircut without intimidating you at all.
