Help me to wow!

I'm having a big birthday party this year (yes - it's one of those birthdays) I have hired a rather grand venue and am thinking of asking all guests to wear black/white whilst I make my grand entrance in ..... red!

If I go ahead, I will need a stunning red dress, very dressy but not full length. I am a size 12/14, great boobs, but not great legs, very long curly hair (brunette). I need to be able to dance to cheesy 80s music in it.

Any ideas? Am prepared to spend if it has wow factor.
Thanks

crikey you're confident

angrypixie · 10/09/2009 13:00

Oh dear, didn't mean to sound OTT but confident, yes I guess I am,

I meant it in a good way! I'm not unconfident, but I'm one of the types that would rather sneak in and not be noticed, iyswim

having a look if i can see any suitable dresses for you...

tulpe · 10/09/2009 13:07

No help on the find a dress front but just wanted to say....

Go, girl

It's your birthday. You can dictate the dress code and of course you want to be the centre of attention

angrypixie · 10/09/2009 13:11

Thanks, tulpe. MissMelly you had me worried that I sounded like a complete cow but you can't sneak in on your birthday. Thanks for looking for me, I'm drawing a blank.

www.net-a-porter.com/product/46748certainly has the wow factor, from good boobs I wasn't sure if you meant perky or big.

missmelly · 10/09/2009 13:15

this??

this looks slightly seethrough?? would def make a statement

angrypixie · 10/09/2009 13:17

Ooh thanks, It's very wow but don't think I want to draw attention to my hips and thighs, definite worst bit.

32DD so pretty big but fairly upright, good scaffolding helps these days though.

Thanks MissMelly strapless not good, surprised myself by really liking your second one (not because it's seethrough though)

Do need to be able to wear a decent bra though.

OP posts:
LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 10/09/2009 13:28

missmelly · 10/09/2009 13:29

brimfull · 10/09/2009 13:31

and hire paparazzi

missmelly · 10/09/2009 13:33

another, with one strap

angrypixie · 10/09/2009 13:33

That's OK, I haven't invited you Noah At least I don't think I have

OP posts:
angrypixie · 10/09/2009 13:35

MissM I think you've done it!!!!! I love that first Debenhams one. Maybe a bra with thin red straps would work? I adore it.

OP posts:
missmelly · 10/09/2009 13:37

that's def gorgeous.. looks like it would suit a good pair of knockers too

angrypixie · 10/09/2009 13:37

Thank you, you are my new best friend, and of course invited to the party

OP posts:
missmelly · 10/09/2009 13:39

angrypixie · 10/09/2009 14:00

Thanks Clure the ASOS dresses are all too short, my legs aren't great. The LK Bennett is great but still runner up to the Debenhams dress so far.
