Help me to wow!

I'm having a big birthday party this year (yes - it's one of those birthdays) I have hired a rather grand venue and am thinking of asking all guests to wear black/white whilst I make my grand entrance in ..... red!

If I go ahead, I will need a stunning red dress, very dressy but not full length. I am a size 12/14, great boobs, but not great legs, very long curly hair (brunette). I need to be able to dance to cheesy 80s music in it.

Any ideas? Am prepared to spend if it has wow factor.
Thanks

Millennium Now I'm hyperventilating - I love it.

Ye Gods, 2 dresses, so different but so perfect.

Showed DH the Debenhams dress and he said it was gorgeous - just right, then he saw the e-bay dress and he said it was perfect.

From no dresses to 2 dresses. EEK

fwiw it's a hard feeling to beat dancing in a huge petticoaty skirt and you did say you didn't want full length... (playing devil's avocado btw, either dress would be fabby)

personally i would think the longer one is more sophisticated, more dare i say mature, the swishy swishy one is a bit more fun - which are you or which would you like to be?

I'm leaning towards swishy swishy. I'm very flirty

well if it's flirty you're after i reckon there'd be a fair bit more cleavage flashing going on with the swishy swishy
