Tank Tops - who suits them?

I bought a knitted one recently and am not sure about it.

However, I have a cottony fitting one too and I like it.

Is it possible to wear knitted tank and not look a tool?

i love tank tops with a nice blouse underneath dare i mention i really like Boden ones i am certainly not thin bt i think i look ok in them especially with wide legged trousers to balance out hips etc

I do not have overly large tits. I have a broad back and that might be my downfall. I do not suit blouses.

I thin what I need is a good top underneath, rather than shirt.

i have an old plain charcoal knit one form boden years ago
and a fabstretch kew one

i a couple of these tops last year for putting underneath things. they are fab.

I prefer long sleeve thin tees under tanks. A shirt can look too prumpy (cross between prim and frumpy)

I am not familiar with primark but white stuff is quite good, inteeresting patterns, lovely colours, prob still overpriced but then I think everything is overpriced

i got a fab strethc sweater from there last year in grey and it was great wiht a shirt under - had to size up. IME kew is HUGE on bottom and tight on top

I think, though - on reflection - that with my broad back I could not get away with the shirt/tank look. I need a tight top/tank look. My back dictates my 'styling'
