Help!
Guests likely to be dreadlocked middle class hippy types.
Actual wedding taking place in old mansion house so would prefer not to wear wellies the whole time.

Boden a bit ubiquitous and that purple one is just a bit... dull. It's a nice shape though.

Platesmasher · 18/08/2009 21:12

ubiquitous for mumsnet maybe? maybe not in that crowd?

Lulubee · 18/08/2009 21:15

Ok, so in a similar vein, what about

this one?

Lulubee · 18/08/2009 21:18

Or this?

Platesmasher · 18/08/2009 21:21

1st one is cute but not sure it's over a £100 worth of dress.

2nd one is ok.

sorry. just be grateful we're not actually out shopping. you'd be hating me by now.

Lulubee · 18/08/2009 21:23

Ooh, and I love this one - it's 90cm long so would be just on or ever so slightly above the knee on me and I'm 5'5... can I come to this wedding please?

Heated · 18/08/2009 21:30

Sorry, Lulubee didn't see that link didn't work to the uttam dress - maybe now?

Platesmasher · 18/08/2009 21:31

sure!

Heated · 18/08/2009 21:37

jaeger dramatic print

Heated · 18/08/2009 21:38

jaeger pleat silk dress

Platesmasher · 18/08/2009 21:38

this? with trousers?

Heated · 18/08/2009 21:39

emily & fin

Lulubee · 18/08/2009 21:41

Nah, I wasn't that keen on the John Rocha one either, I was just trying to gauge how 'safe' your taste was

I love the red and black Jaeger one - and it's a total bargain!!

BikeRunSki · 18/08/2009 21:42

We had an "outdoorsy" do for DS's Welcoming Ceremony, and I treated myself to something from Howies, but could be too casual for a wedding.

How about dress

Platesmasher · 18/08/2009 21:42

jaeger dramatic print is nice. not sure about trudging round a field in it though.

Heated · 18/08/2009 21:42

great plains

thehairybabysmum · 18/08/2009 21:42

Sorry platesmasher but think that boden one you've linked is an ugly shape...but this one is luverly here

Lulubee · 18/08/2009 21:44

Like the Monsoon one yes, but the one Heated just posted is perfect for the kind of wedding you described....

thehairybabysmum · 18/08/2009 21:46

Also ive seen this dress on someone who sounds similar size/shape to you and it was lovely coast

I see this girl in it when i cycle to work and then had to track it down on web as i love it, saddo that i am!!

Platesmasher · 18/08/2009 21:49

am drawn to this one

Heated · 18/08/2009 21:49

julienmacdonald

Lulubee · 18/08/2009 21:51

I meant the emily and fin one by the way. The Boden one in the vintage print is also rather nice... would look great with wellies! Are they having a marquee or something?

Platesmasher · 18/08/2009 21:51

the jaeger black and red one?

Lulubee · 18/08/2009 21:53

Velvet might be a bit too 'Christmas do'? Not very keen tbh...

Platesmasher · 18/08/2009 21:54

was hoping for 'vintage' not auntie margot at the christmas do. point taken.
