Many years ago, whilst out in a well known army town, my friends & I met a group of Dutch Marines

They were all without exception gorgeous, incredibly fit and muscular Particularly the sgt who picked me up and put me over his shoulder (& as even then I was not what you would call thin I was rather impressed!)

It was one of the best nights out I have ever had.........

I think French men are rather lush - not as HUGE as the dutch though, and they do just have so much style. The Danish are gorgeous also, lovely and brown without looking tangoed.

I remember going to Amsterdam as a teenager and coming to the conclusion that yes, Dutch men are all incredibly tall and fit! I was swooning every five minutes.

I think the Dutch are all tall in general. I'm 6ft tall and have always felt 'average' height when wandering around (have only been to Amsterdam)

When my DH has been to the Scandinavian countries with work (he is in the military) he has commented on how good looking both the men and women are. He was also amazed about how keen the scandinavian women were to be chatted up by very ordinary looking British men - apparently they are seen as much more charming/chivalrous/funny than the natives - according toi the ones he spoke to, Scandinavian men are so hot on equality that door opening and compliments dont figure in their dealings with women - and therefore an average Brit can seem good in comparison.

He (in days before we met) apparently had an excellent strike rate in the USA - but that was all down to the English accent.

In Denmark there are so many very pretty people - usually the girls - but they were very very interested in London and would probably love to meet a nice English man.

Which goes to show it's lucky England has economic clout in Europe to make up for its rather mixed bag of looks.

The Dutch are v. tall and fit but most people I know who have lived in Holland for an extended amount of time seem very fit and healthy. Very health concious IME.

Some people, usually Dutch, say I look Dutch - should I take that as a compliment?
